bscheibs 8 Posted December 22, 2009 I like this post. Most of the stuff I read about rosters on this site is from teams chirping about how great their teams are. This is a nice diversion. And not surprisingly no replies. Here's a very mediocre team that I'm taking to the finals thanks to some fortunate circumstances. QB Rivers RB AP RB Charles (wouldn't have made it this far without him) WR Wayne WR Jennings WR Holmes Nobody cares about kickers and D's.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 22, 2009 I like this post. Most of the stuff I read about rosters on this site is from teams chirping about how great their teams are. This is a nice diversion. And not surprisingly no replies. Here's a very mediocre team that I'm taking to the finals thanks to some fortunate circumstances. QB Rivers (7th and just 8 pts out of 4th) RB AP (3rd and just 1 pt from 2nd) RB Charles (wouldn't have made it this far without him) (hottest RB in the last 6 weeks behind Chris Johnson) WR Wayne (5th ranked) WR Jennings (a bit of a disappointment but still ranked 19th and blew up last week) WR Holmes (20th ranked) Nobody cares about kickers and D's. um, far be it from me to point out the obvious, but that is not a mediocre team. The pts are specific to my league settings, but aside from long run/reception bonuses, are fairly standard. That's a team that's pretty balanced on all fronts and has some explosive guys capable of carrying a team on their own.

PanicAttack 13 Posted December 22, 2009 Ok here is my crap 'ship' team... Dont ask how Warner Rod White MSW---WW Cotch AD Harrison---WW Witten Hartley--WW Minn Bench Cribbs- yes I played him, might again--WW Mario--WW Ganter--WW Chester Forsett--WW Damn, I have 7 guys on my team from the wire. I just think this is the worse team I have ever taken to the SHIP. I mean sure Warner/White/AD are big names but I can tell you they have taken years off my life this year. Jagman77 0 Posted December 22, 2009 In a traditional (primarily TD only) 10-team redraft league, made it to the Week16 Championship with this roster (starters *) - definately smoke and mirrors. My opponent starts Favre-Akers-Addai-Hightower-Fitzgerald-R.Moss-Clark-IndyDEF. I'll have my hands full! Breese* Cutler Reed* Folk Charles* Maroney* Grant Mendenhall* White Witten Marshall* Meachem* Chambers Burleson Broncos DEF Bengals DEF*
emdig66 0 Posted December 22, 2009 I'm in the championship (dont ask me how) with this starting lineup. Brees Jones Drew Jon Stewart (arian foster, ryan moats, chris brown, justin fargas, mike bell) Greg Jennings Robert Meachem Michael Crabtree or Garcon Jermichael Finley Gostowski Eagle Def It was a tough yr. Portis who I drafted in the 4th rd gave me nothing and looks finished. Anthony Gonzo went down in week 1. Owen Daniels, who was having a great yr, went down first week of Nov. I'm amazed I got this far. I'm going to get my a$$ handed to me this week. Good luck to everyone if your playing in week
Portis26 0 Posted December 22, 2009 I assume these are all H2H leagues ... cause anyone can win solely based on matchups. My team leads my league in total points but lost last week to a guy who had Mike Wallace and Jerome Harrison. I will win the most $, but won't get any press of a championship
cbfalcon 824 Posted December 22, 2009 The team I am playing this week started this lineup last week: QB - Rogers RB - Maroney RB - A. Foster WR - Cribbs WR - Driver WR/TE - F. Davis (This isn't a TE must league) K - Bironas D - Packers

XRage 0 Posted December 23, 2009 I think I've got all you guys beat Matt Hasselbeck Ricky Williams Tim Hightower Earl Bennett James Jones Terrell Owens Antonio Gates Fred Davis Malcom Floyd Jeff Reed Baltimore DST Michael Bush (Bench) Tashard Choice (Bench) Bryant Johnson (Bench) Sebastian Janikowski (Bench) New England DST This team narrowly lost by 1.5 points to the #1 seed and high point scorer in my league last night. If he had started Michael Bush he would be playing against me in the championship game this week.
Jagman77 0 Posted December 25, 2009 You're right Portis26; at least my league is H2h. Two divisions of 5 teams each. Play everyone in your division twice and outside your division once. Playoffs Weeks 13-16. H2H can be a bi&^h. Second-highest points for the year did not make the playoffs; Lowest points for the league won his regular-season division, but lost the divisional playoff game. Everytime I suggest changing to performance-based rotissire style; they all say "no!" Want the old-fashion TD-only, H2H that we've been doing for the last 15 years! At least is easy to keep the scores manually. But man - it's so much luck.
