Strike 5,806 Posted January 7, 2010 Every bowling alley I've ever been to has an attached bar. Not saying bowling is great. It's not something I partake in regularly. But there are plenty of other sucky activities that DON'T have an attached bar so if I have to do one I'll take the bowling. Plus, I keep hoping I'll get to meet a couple cavemen at the bowling alley.

Otherwise, the wife can take them and get chatty with all the other wimmens. If I go to a party at some house, movie theatre, even chuckie cheese, you can rest assured its 90% sow; but when its at the bowling alley, every single dad is there. There is always that awkward first 10-15 minutes as we all wait for someone to step up and be "that guy" who goes and gets the first pitcher of beer, after which four or five more immediately appear

Juggernauts 0 Posted January 7, 2010 I like TO bowl, but would never WATCH bowling. When you are bowling you can drink. Sure, when you're watching it you can drink too, but why watch bowling and drink when you could watch something else and drink?

Not only can you drink but it is encouraged Plus it involves a ball so it IS a sport.
jets24 6 Posted January 7, 2010 I tried to strike while this conversation was hot but I had no balls. I'm gonna fly like an eagle and split. Can anybody spare a dime? I've really been in the gutter lately and they have been trying to pin this robbery on me.

Confident Joey Harrington 0 Posted January 8, 2010 None of you guys are real athletes like myself, so you best stick to bowling. I played at a hall of fame pace while I was starting in the NFL, but ownership had their heads in their asses, and didn't recognize my talent. Their loss. The ultimate oxy-moron "Confident Joey Harrington" The only way the words "confident" "joey" and "harrington" would be used consecutively in a sentence would be: I am confident Joey Harrington was a bust of Heath Shuler, Akili Smith, and Ryan Leaf-ian proportions.
