QB's- Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, and Chad Henne RB's- Adrian Peterson, Carnell Williams, Michael Bush, and Leon Washington WR's- Sidney Rice, Greg Jennings, Hines Ward, Steve Breaston, and Chaz Schilens TE's- Brent Celek -This squad is anchored by AP and a bevy of nice WR's. Ward as a #3 WR is a very nice option considering Holmes is gone, and Celek should haul in plenty of receptions. -I feel the extra Qb pick would have been more wisely spent on a late TE. Carson and one of the others QB's , was plenty solid. - The Keys to this teams success at the next level is for either Bush or Caddy to step up, and I don't feel Caddy can last a full season. The other is for Celek to perform at the TE #3 level and stay on the field. -My Favorite picks was the guy throwing to Marshall in the Funky Offense, and Jennings in the 3rd round. -My least favorite moves were forgoing the #2 TE for the #3 QB, and using the 6:12 pick on Caddy. After spending pick 2,3,4, and 5 on positions other than RB or QB, you had to work your butt off to put this together. I think you did a good job scrambling. I just wish you would have trusted your Palmer pick more as your QB#1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vikings4Ever 1.02- RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Jax. 2.11- RB Jamaal Charles, KC 3.02- WR Marques Colston, NO 4.11- TE Antonio Gates, SD 5.02- WR Dwayne Bowe, KC 6.11- RB Justin Forsett, Sea. 7.02- QB Brett Favre, Min. 8.11- QB Donovan McNabb, Was. 9.02- WR Jeremy Maclin, Phi. 10.11- RB Darren Sproles, SD 11.02- TE Chris Cooley, Was. 12.11- WR Austin Collie, Ind. 13.02- WR Demaryius Thomas, Den. 14.11- D/ST, San Francisco 49ers 15.02- K Robbie Gould, Chi. He doesn't waste picks, and I can only question 1 in this draft. - This squad is anchored by touchdowns, in the form of MJD, Colston, and Gates. The two old Qb's aren't too shabby either. - Nice Balance throughout will aid this team weekly. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are for his Chiefs to both perform at the level picked, and for Favre to return. - My favorite picks were picking Forsett at 6.12, who I feel out performs Charles, and the back to back Qb grab in rounds 7 and 8. - My least favorite picks selecting 2 Chiefs in the first 5 rounds. Bowe was the only pick I really question, as I stated there was 1 in my opening statement. Maclin and Collie covered that well though. I have MJD as the #1 overall pick, Colston as the #3 Wr, and Gates as the #4 TE. This is some great weekly TD production, and once again your draft was solid. (I have stated this repeatedly and your record has proved me right again and again) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remote Controller 1.03- RB Ray Rice, Bal. 2.10- RB Ryan Mathews, SD 3.03- WR DeSean Jackson, Phi. 4.10- WR Chad Ochocinco, Cin. 5.03- TE Jermichael Finley, GB 6.10- QB Kevin Kolb, Phi. 7.03- QB Jay Cutler, Chi. 8.10- WR Malcom Floyd, SD 9.03- RB Reggie Bush, NO 10.10- WR Kevin Walter, Hou. 11.03- RB Willis McGahee, Bal. 12.10- TE Tony Scheffler, Det. 13.03- K Garrett Hartley, NO 14.10- WR Jabar Gaffney, Den. 15.03- D/ST, Pittsburgh Steelers QB's- Kevin Kolb, and Jay Cutler RB's- Ray Rice, Ryan Mathews, Reggie Bush, and Willis McGahee WR's- DeSean Jackson, Chad Ochocinco, Malcom Floyd, Kevin Walter, and Jabar Gaffney TE's- Jermichael Finley, and Tony Scheffler - This squad is very explosive with players like DeSean, Rice, Finley, Bush, and 2 young gun Qb's who could go off at any minute because of scheme and ability. Outside of Scheffler, there aren't many losses on the teams represented. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are Kolb and DeSean hooking up, and Mathews being the top rookie RB. Floyd in the late 8th could be a big bonus. - My Favorite picks were Finely in the 5th, who I feel is the #1 TE this year, and Cutler in the 7th. I feel he is going to have a great year with two Royals on the squad and an OC who loves those Hakim type dudes. - My least favorite pick was missing out on Colston in the 3rd and having to take DeSean. I am very happy with my squad (imagine that), and feel I will be steady strong weekly. I tend to draft teams that are balanced but don't take many chances. This squad's addition of Mathews was a stretch for me, and the fact that I have Chad Johnson on it is SHOCKING. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ White Wonder 1.04- RB Chris Johnson, Ten. 2.09- WR Roddy White, Atl. 3.04- RB Ryan Grant, GB 4.09- QB Philip Rivers, SD 5.04- TE Vernon Davis, SF 6.09- WR Santana Moss, Was. 7.04- RB Marion Barber, Dal. 8.09- QB Eli Manning, NYG 9.04- WR Dez Bryant, Dal. 10.09- WR Donnie Avery, Stl. 11.04- TE Heath Miller, Pit. 12.09- RB LaDainian Tomlinson, NYJ 13.04- WR Anthony Gonzalez, Ind. 14.09- K David Buehler, Dal. 15.04- D/ST, Chicago Bears I have posted on the main board my thoguhts on this squad. 7 picks in and I felt all he had to do is fill in. - This squad is anchored by the best RB corp in the draft, and last years best RB, Chris Johnson. It also features a QB who plays 4 qtrs every week. I'm a balance guy and this squad achieved that. - The keys to this squad reaching the next level is Santana Moss and McNabb jelling, and Grant having the type of season that covers the 10 TD's Barber IS going to give this squad in his sleep. Moss hasn't had this type of arm to compliment his stretch game before, and Grant is in for a huge year as teams have to step back and respect Rodgers thru the air. - My favorite picks were Grant in the 3rd and Rivers in the 4th. - My least favorite picks were, hell I don't know......Avery in the 10th and LT when it didn't matter. I've always been an RB guy so I'm loving this. He needs Roddy and Santana Moss to be solid and one of the other 3 to step up, and he's in business. He has the production at QB, RB, and TE in the bag. --------------------------------------------------------------------- KSB2424 1.05- WR Andre Johnson, Hou. 2.08- WR Miles Austin, Dal. 3.05- RB Cedric Benson, Cin. 4.08- QB Matt Schaub, Hou. 5.05- RB Jahvid Best, Det. 6.08- RB Brandon Jacobs, NYG 7.05- WR Mike Wallace, Pit. 8.08- RB Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG 9.05- WR Antonio Bryant, Cin. 10.08- TE Zach Miller, Oak. 11.05- QB Mark Sanchez, NYJ 12.08- D/ST, Minnesota Vikings 13.05- TE Todd Heap, Bal. 14.08- WR Nate Burleson, Det. 15.05- K Neil Rackers, Hou. I love the way this team was put together. This was a masterful job of drafting from top to bottom. He had the balls to lay in a few Wr's in rounds 1 and 2, then his next 9 picks were perfect. - This is anchored by perfect balance, and the Schaub/Johnson combo. This is unique, for he acheived it backwards, starting with the wideouts! He then grabbed Benson, top 6 Qb canidate Schaub, and Rookie starter Best. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are the Schaub/AJ combo staying healthy, and Best breaking out. For the "No Hassle" Format, he has the Giants running game to fall back on. - My favorite picks are picks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. He was set. - My least favorite picks were Austin and bryant, but that basically comes down to preference. This team fell together nicely, in my opinion, and he really didn't have to work to hard to achieve it after he landed Benson/Schaub/Best. He had to realize he was "Shittin' in tall cotton" by the time he reached pick #6. This plan worked! Nice Job! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clash of the Titans 1.06- RB Frank Gore, SF 2.07- WR Brandon Marshall, Mia. 3.06- QB Tony Romo, Dal. 4.07- RB Joseph Addai, Ind. 5.06- WR Hakeem Nicks, NYG 6.07- RB Ricky Williams, Mia. 7.06- WR Braylon Edwards, NYJ 8.07- RB Donald Brown, Ind. 9.06- WR Kenny Britt, Ten. 10.07- QB Vince Young, Ten. 11.06- TE Jeremy Shockey, NO 12.07- RB Arian Foster, Hou. 13.06- QB Matt Hasselbeck, Sea. 14.07- K Rob Bironas, Ten. 15.06- D/ST, Dallas Cowboys I always have a hard time disecting a Clash squad. He marches to the beat of a different drummer. He isn't scared off by anything a player has done or suffered during the offseason. The best I can figure is he simply picks the ceiling of points a player is capable of, and damn any normalcy. I wish I had a bit more Clash in me to balance my conservativeness. - I can't point out any anchor for this squad, just a full tilt sprint for points. The ultimate boom or bust. - The keys for this team reaching the next level are for his 2nd year receivers to be successful, Shockey to stay healthy, and Marshall being Marshall on a new team. Piece of cake!! - My favorite picks were his cuff on Addai (Brown), his grab of Foster, and his gamble on Marshall. - My least favorite picks were Britt, Young, taking the 3rd QB over a #2 TE. (Product of the Young pick) Rarely does a Clash team find the bottom tier but this might be the one. Remember, I am likely the safest, most conservative drafter in the mock saying this. This team would scare the hell out of me trying to manage it. ----------------------------------------------------------- JScott 1.07- RB Michael Turner, Atl. 2.06- QB Aaron Rodgers, GB 3.07- WR Vincent Jackson, SD 4.06- TE Dallas Clark, Ind. 5.07- WR Steve Smith, NYG 6.06- RB Ben Tate, Hou. 7.07- RB Fred Jackson, Buf. 8.06- RB Montario Hardesty, Cle. 9.07- WR Lee Evans, Buf. 10.06- WR Devin Aromashadu, Chi. 11.07- TE Dustin Keller, NYJ 12.06- QB Matt Cassel, KC 13.07- K Stephen Gostkowski, NEP 14.06- D/ST, Philadelphia Eagles 15.07- WR Muhamed Massaquoi, Cle. Here is another squad that would scare the hell out of me to own, but I have never been around, or seen a more successful fantasy player. He drafts alot like Clash when it comes to the talent pool he draws from, and isn't afraid to trade until he gets cumfy with it. His final product is NEVER finished. Champions tier every year in the IBL and an Individual Champion, if I'm remebering right. - The keys to this team reaching the next level start with VJax getting on some teams field. Then Jackson or Tate being a solid #2 RB, and Turner being a viable #1 again. Jackson has the want to and the drive to do this, but I question whether Turner can return to his old glory with the beating he takes. - My favorite picks were Rodgers and Clark in rounds 2 and 4 respectively. They will be the steady feature of this squad, and the anchors week to week. I have them both #1 at their positions. - My least favorite picks were the risk with VJax, and the double rookie RB grab. (Tate and Hardesty) This team will likely end up in the top half, but that will depend heavily on many factors. VJax playing, a rookie Rb stepping up, and Turner being "The Burner" again. I'd need Pepto but this is normal for JScott. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ICEMAN 1.08- RB Rashard Mendenhall, Pit. 2.05- QB Peyton Manning, Ind. 3.08- RB Knowshon Moreno, Den. 4.05- WR Steve Smith, Car. 5.08- TE Jason Witten, Dal. 6.05- WR Donald Driver, GB 7.08- RB Clinton Portis, Was. 8.05- WR Derrick Mason, Bal. 9.08- WR Eddie Royal, Den. 10.05- TE John Carlson, Sea. 11.08- RB Thomas Jones, KC 12.05- D/ST, New Orleans Saints 13.08- K Mason Crosby, GB 14.05- QB Kyle Orton, Den. 15.08- WR Golden Tate, Sea. Qb's - Peyton Manning, and QB Kyle Orton Rb's - Rashard Mendenhall, Knowshon Moreno, Clinton Portis, and Thomas Jones Wr's - Steve Smith, Donald Driver, Derrick Mason, Eddie Royal, and Golden Tate Te's - Jason Witten, and John Carlson The draft definitly got a bit harder at pick #8. This isn't PPR so you have to do some real nut cutting here. In this format I feel this is where you could take a top QB, IF you wanted safe production. I feel he made a solid choice in Mendy as they will lean heavily on him the first half of the season for sure. He parlayed that into a very safe Qb pick in the second. (Manning) The rest of the draft entailed trying to piece together a Wr corp. Manning and Witten will be the anchors. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are for Mendy to stay healthy and be able to produce the first 6 weeks, and for Moreno to be better than CBuck this year. You then need a few old and banged up receivers to be steady, Royal return to first year form, and Witten be what we expected last year. (he had a down year) Lots of varibles for success but Manning isn't one of them. - My favorite picks were your first two, though it did set you back in WR strength. I also feel Thomas Jones pays off real well. - My least favorite pick was Moreno, as I feel you really needed a wideout. The Wr's you chose were perfect rebound receivers but they need to be playing at the high level of their past few seasons at their heightened ages this season. It took guts to draft this team, and I commend him on his results. If the wideouts can hold together, and Mendy produce like a first rounder, Manning and Witten should provide the steady production. More quetions then I'd like going in, but a fine draft from a tough spot. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ray Lewis' Limo Driver 1.09- RB Steven Jackson, Stl. 2.04- WR Reggie Wayne, Ind. 3.09- RB LeSean McCoy, Phi. 4.04- WR Anquan Boldin, Bal. 5.09- RB Ronnie Brown, Mia. 6.04- WR Pierre Garcon, Ind. 7.09- QB Matt Ryan, Atl. 8.04- TE Owen Daniels, Hou. 9.09- WR Julian Edelman, NE 10.04- QB Ben Roethlisberger, Pit. 11.09- RB Chester Taylor, Chi. 12.04- D/ST, New York Jets 13.09- WR Bernard Berrian, Min. 14.04- WR Devin Thomas, Was. 15.09- K Lawrence Tynes, NYG Qb's - Matt Ryan, and Ben Roethlisberger Rb's - Steven Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Ronnie Brown, and Chester Taylor Wr's - Reggie Wayne, Anquan Boldin, Pierre Garcon, Julian Edelman, Bernard Berrian, and Devin Thomas Te - Owen Daniels I don't know if he planned from the get go to draft Ben, and then draft only 1 TE, but that is what he ended up doing. Very strong at 2 positions and exposed at the other two, this team will have very big weeks and others that are lacking. - This squad is anchored by strong and deep Rb and Wr corps. Jackson, McCoy, Wayne, and Boldin are as deep as any team goes in both positions with strength. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are for McCoy to break off some long Td's, for he isn't likely to get many short chances, and for Ryan to have a productive first 6 games. He also needs Owen Daniels to not only get heatlthy, but stay that way. - My favorite picks were Reggie Wayne and Boldin in rounds 2 and 4, and Chester Taylor in the 11th. - My least favorite picks were his 2 Qb's , and the fact that he only took 1 TE. Ryan will likely be handing the ball to Turner alot this season, and Ben will be writing 1,000 times on the board "I will not rape any more girls". I worry that Ray is gonna struggle at Qb and Te all season, putting too much pressure on his Rb's and Wr's to score. The receiving corp looks to be up to the task, while the Rb's might not be as consistent Td wise. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Robb 1.10- WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari. 2.03- WR Calvin Johnson, Det. 3.10- RB Chris Wells, Ari. 4.03- RB Jonathan Stewart, Car. 5.10- WR Wes Welker, NE 6.03- RB C.J. Spiller, Buf. 7.10- WR T.J. Housh, Sea. 8.03- QB Joe Flacco, Bal. 9.10- RB Darren McFadden, Oak. 10.03- QB Matthew Stafford, Det. 11.10- TE Greg Olsen, Chi. 12.03- QB Alex Smith, SF 13.10- TE Kevin Boss, NYG 14.03- D/ST, Green Bay Packers 15.10- K Matt Prater, Den. Qb's- Joe Flacco, Matthew Stafford, and Alex Smith Rb's- Chris Wells, Jonathan Stewart, C.J. Spiller, and Darren McFadden Wr's- Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, Wes Welker, and T.J. Housh Te's- Greg Olsen, and Kevin Boss Built Wr heavy with the first 2 picks, the team still only has 3 viable Wr's on it, as I don't expect much out of Welker this year. That top heaviness in the first 2 rounds means that Wells is gonna have to imitate a #1 RB, and Stewart is gonna have to do more than just be a role playing oft injured #2 Rb. The selection of the 3rd Qb baffled me when he was sitting fine with 2, and really needed another Wr. to back up Housh at #3. This team is anchored nicely by Fitz and Calvin, then it gets kind of funky. - The keys to this team reaching the next level are for Wells and Stewart to earn their positions as #1 and #2 Rbs, while both playing with new Qb's. Then TJ is gonna have to stay healthy and give steady production, for Welker will be limited and I don't feel out of the PUP woods yet. - My favorite picks were Calvin in the second, and then Flacco in the 8th and Stafford to pair up with Calvin in the 10th. -My least favorite picks were all of the backs, and taking the 3rd Qb. I feel it got much tougher to mock after pick #7 this year. Robb nailed 2 studs right out of the shoot, then struggled to put together a backfield to compliment them. I love the value of both of his qb's, but wish he would have held off of Smtih. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fumbleweed 1.11- QB Drew Brees, NO 2.02- RB DeAngelo Williams, Car. 3.11- RB Pierre Thomas, NO 4.02- WR Michael Crabtree, SF 5.11- RB Felix Jones, Dal. 6.02- WR Percy Harvin, Min. 7.11- TE Tony Gonzalez, Atl. 8.02- WR Devin Hester, Chi. 9.11- TE Kellen Winslow, Jr., TB 10.02- WR Jericho Cothery, NYJ 11.11- RB Tim Hightower, Ari. 12.02- WR Terrell Owens, FA 13.11- K Ryan Longwell, Min. 14.02- QB Josh Freeman, TB 15.11- D/ST, New England Patriots Qb's- Drew Brees, and Josh Freeman Rb's- DeAngelo Williams, Pierre Thomas, Felix Jones, and Tim Hightower Wr's- Michael Crabtree, Percy Harvin, Devin Hester, Jericho Cothery, and Terrell Owens Te's- Tony Gonzalez, and Kellen Winslow I totally agree with the selection of Brees in the first round. The back to back RB grab was nice, but it had costs associated with it as always. You did your normal Wr scramble act and came out just fine. I am higher on Hester then most, and feel he is your #2. I would be the most concerned with Crabtree as my #1. This is still not the most explosive offense he is on, and it runs thru Gore. I feel 2 1/2 of those 5 will suffice weekly, but you will make up theat 1/2 difference and more at Qb and TE. I wonder what the team would look like if you had taken say Sims-Walker in the 5th then grabbed a Thomas Jones or a Chet Taylor instead of Cotch later?? - Brees, DeWill/PT, and Gonzo anchor this squad nicely. - The keys to next level success boli down to Crabtree being a #1 WR weekly, and 2 of the other Wr's stepping up into their roles. If TO lands in the right spot and blows up, this team does sky rockets - My Favorite picks were Pierre at 3.11, Hester at 8.02, ands Gonzo in the 7th - My least favorite picks were Felix in the 5th, and Crabtree in the 3rd. As you mentioned, it would have been nice to have a more solid back-up QB, but that isn't a problem if Brees stays pain free, and Josh ahs a nice Brees bye week. There is likely plenty of weekly stabilty at Qb, RB, and TE to cover the deficiencies at WR, but the determining factor of how high this team rises boils down to a little more Harvin and a little less Rice, a little more Crabtree and a little less Gore, and a little more Hester with a little less Knox. (TO could be a wild card in the right situation) Nice draft as always! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NAn 1.12- RB Shonn Greene, NYJ 2.01- WR Randy Moss, NE 3.12- QB Tom Brady, NE 4.01- RB Matt Forte, Chi. 5.12- WR Mike Sims-Walker, Jax. 6.01- RB Jerome Harrison, Cle. 7.12- WR Robert Meachem, NO 8.01- WR Santonio Holmes, NYJ 9.12- TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Min. 10.01- RB Laurence Maroney, NE 11.12- QB David Garrard, Jax. 12.01- WR Johnny Knox, Chi. 13.12- TE Bo Scaife, Ten. 14.01- K David Akers, Phi. 15.12- D/ST, Indianapolis Colts Qb's- Tom Brady, and David Garrard Rb's- Shonn Greene, Matt Forte, Jerome Harrison, and Laurence Maroney Wr's- Randy Moss, Mike Sims-Walker, Robert Meachem, Santonio Holmes, and Johnny Knox Te's- Visanthe Shiancoe, and Bo Scaife NAn will be able to field a nice starting squad outside of a valid #2 RB. Who knows what's gonna happen there? I love Knox as his #3 Wr, holding down the fort until Holmes reappears on the scene in week 5. The team is balanced but not very deep at any position, and weakest at Rb. -This team will be anchored by the Brady /Moss combo, and I feel Shonn Green is a top 6 rb, behind only the first rb's selected in this draft. - The keys to this team taking it to the next level include, the Jets taking the lead in the first half and letting it's defense and Shonn finish games, and an #2 Rb appearing. - My favorite picks were the Moss/Brady corner, and Johnny Knox in the 12th!!! I am very high on Cutler/Hester/Knox this year. - My least favorite picks were Forte in the 4th without Chester later, and Jerome in the 6th. It's not Jeromes fault, but he won't get his due this year. He earned the start last season without question, but it looks like he'll get screwed. Forsett would have been the grab in the 6th. This team is probably my least favorite squad. I don't see alot past the first 3 picks to get excited about. NAn was distracted this whole draft so that factored in. The other factor is that I could easily be dead wrong! lol! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NAn 39 Posted August 10, 2010 I have to agree with assessment of my squad....just not a very good draft on my part. Admittedly I didn't make later picks (hilarious that you love the knox pick, which I didn't make), and was distracted a bit when I did pick per my health issues. But still, looking back I overthought things with my first 2 picks and it trickled down from there: * Should have went with my instinct and gone DWill instead of Moss. * Then I wouldn't have felt that I had to grab a RB at 3/4 turn, where I reached with Forte. * Or compounding things by, going with Harrison at 5/6 turn as felt I had to get a #3RB earlier than later to protect the Forte pick. Not that my picks were necessarily bad players, just not the best value b/c I picked them out of what I percieved as 'need'. Anyway, looking to redeem myself here in the August mock.
