Any truth to the rumors......

Recommended Posts

We've all heard the Lynch rumors swirling all week, but I read Peter King's article that there may be something cooking for Fred Jackson sometime soon....any other info or speculation that anyone can share??

Getting some kind of value for a position that has too much talent to play them all would make sense......then again we are talking about the Bills, so my guess is they will play the entire year with 3 VG backs in the backfield instead of getting a nice pick for 1 of them....I would have thought Lynch would be the one to go if they do trade either him or Jackson.

On Sunday countdown, Mort and Adam said that Green Bay wanted M. Lynch in the draft back in the day, Rogers wants him, etc... They speculate the 2 teams will talk after the game, Buffalo wants a player and a draft pick. Possible A.J. Hawk to Buffalo for Lynch. I can only hope as I picked him up this week???

Ive seen that the Bills would ask for either AJ Hawk or a starting O-lineman. There is no way that the Pack will give up either. Green Bay also covets their draft picks. I dont see this happening unless a lesser player or a late-round (5th?) pick is the deal.

A.J. Hawk is not even starting. Not sure he even played last week?

This is the first I've heard about Jackson getting traded...

Lynch to GB makes the most sense because of what's been already noted. Green Bay wanted him a few years back in the draft, former teammate of Rodgers who has publicly said he'd welcome him and Lynch has worn out his welcome in Buffalo.

Well, Mort's report is a slight buzzkill to those of us who held off on trading Brandon Jackson this week. I still don't think it'll happen, but I give the rumors a little more credence now. Pick AND a starter seems like an awful lot, but count me as someone who's surprised Buffalo wouldn't take just a pick all offseason. Could be more posturing.

I'll be VERY interested in see Lynch's workload today. If they're really trying to get good value for him then why not play him a ton and hope he has a great team against the very team that possibly wants him. Then again, they could also figure why risk hurting an important trade piece and give him two carries. Either way it should be interesting to see how much play he gets today. Also if Jackson struggles against the Bills today that could certainly expedite and possible trade. I have a lot more interest in this game right now then I did this time last week.

Honestly, nobody knows. This very well may just be fueled by what Rogers said. No doubt he would probably like him there. The Packers wanted him at the time of the draft. Those 2 things we know. Will it happen? All speculation. Reports say Buffalo will not trade him, but he has been trouble for them and he is 3rd on the depth chart. You would think you would want to get something for him. Of course Buffalo is going to say they are not trading him, they want his value to go up. The thing I like is the 2 teams play each other today, maybe after the game they talk. Should be interesting. I think Lynch could flourish in GB if he got his head screwed on right, Rogers would likely help that.

Either Jackson or Lynch in GB is a win/win for both teams. For Buf, they have overload of talent at one position and an overload of suckitude at all the rest. And right now RB is pretty much the only hole in GB armor.
