Eagles (2-2) @ 49ers (0-4) (Week 5)

Recommended Posts

Just heard the "We want Carr" chant? Pretty sure that's what they were saying, right?

And....Carr is warming up.

Where is Joey Harrington? 49ers should give him a call!! Or maybe Akili Smith.

Yep, that's what they said. I'm not sure I approve of that kind of thing. Especially with a QB as "fragile" as Smif. I know they're pissed, but nothing good comes from turning on your starting QB in that way.

Let the phoenix rise from the ashes... Put Carr in!!! I feel bad for the 49ers defense, they've made some mistakes, but have held the Eagles offense to 17 points.

5 weeks. That's all it took for the preseason division favorite to completely unravel :overhead:

And we'll be the division favorite next year too. Enjoy Carrol setting your team back 4-5 years. Now, go troll somewhere else. That Bears fan guy seems to like to feed you. Go play with him.

Do you consider Kolb a young QB?

Don't pull the whole Alex Smith is only 26 years old deal. He's started in 40 games, played in 46...

Well gee. 26 years old is young in this league. Maybe that's where people get off calling him a young QB.

Young can also mean inexperienced, or in the early stages of development, he is neither. Either way, I'll happily drop it, agree to disagree, let's focus on this good game and what looks like a long FG attempt.

My GOD Ginn has really made a difference in this game. I hope he's healthy the rest of the season. We NEED that action on returns.

Ginn has looked good.

GORE!! :pointstosky:

...unfortunately this is going to be another one of those games...where Smith decides to learn how to play a bit to late in the game.

And he shows us enough to not bench him the next game where he comes out awesome then lays an egg until the 4th quarter.

Rinse, Repeat.

That's OK. No one should really want to see David Carr play ever again if they know what he plays like.

Hell, get Troy Smith in there.

Think I'm gonna throw up and piss myself at the same time. Need a commercial break.

 Davis just owned Mikall.

Wish I could see that play a couple more times. Pretty sure we can blame that pick on Anthony Davis. Looked like the hit altered the throw...never completed the motion. Still would have had the holding call, but whatevers.

In the end, I think Gore's two lost fumbles may have cost us more than any other one thing tonight. No reason we couldn't have scored on those drives.

The Smith fumble was terrible (and laughable) but would he have had his "comeback" had it not occurred? Nedney's missed Field Goal is another obvious thing to point out.

I'll have to scrounge for the stats, but Smith may actually be the best Red Zone QB in the league after tonight. He was 2nd best going in.
