uwmalcolm 73 Posted December 1, 2011 i read this and it gave me pause for thought...but i still contend that DC's are gonna catch up to the oddball offense. The article does say that he will likely have to improve as a passer to keep up that type of rating, as running like a college qb probably won't work forever. That doesn't change his very solid performance in their QB metrics so far this year though.
SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted December 1, 2011 Where are you getting those numbers? This is what I see in FFToday default over the last 5 weeks: 1. Aaron Rodge GB 4 4 89 123 1,103 13 1 20 100 0 104.1 26.0 2. Tom Brady NE 5 5 117 184 1,464 12 2 11 45 0 103.1 20.6 3. Tony Romo DAL 5 5 105 163 1,270 11 3 9 18 0 90.6 18.1 4. Joe Flacco BAL 5 5 120 200 1,322 5 3 15 23 0 65.2 13.0 points per game is 8th, yeah, but either way that seems like a must start to me In my main CBS league, 6 pts/TD, 1 pt/25yp, 1/10yr, etc., between week 7 and 12 TT comes in at No. 6, pretty much hair off No. 5, with Ryan, Tebow, Newton and Stafford all grouped together, above the next tier of Manning, Ben & Rivers. Not a fan of Ryan myself but if any of those QBs got dropped for some bizarre reason I'm pretty sure they would be snapped up immediately off the WW. The good thing about Tebow is consistency, he hasn't had the breakout game yet but his scores are all pretty consistent; even the Detroit disaster netted an ok 12+ points in my league. And he probably will have that breakout game, not sure when, and I am not sure it's a function of him but rather having Fox as HC instead of McDaniels. Styill I'd rather TT on my roster than piossibly blowing up against mne weeks 13-16.
Gepetto 1,011 Posted December 1, 2011 If you start Tebow you are blessed, even if your fantasy team loses. One Sunday (or Thursday Night) starting Tebow makes you a better person.
nobody 2,112 Posted December 1, 2011 Cold Hard Football Facts on :tebow: I don't know. It's seems pretty magical. According to http://live.advancednflstats.com/, Tebow has one games in which the Tebows were at some point 12% (SD), 17% (NYJ), 15% (OAK), and 1% (MIA) to win. It's also pretty magical how the defense all the sudden became great.

blagrange 2 Posted December 1, 2011 Dawkins, Bailey and Dumervil were all hurt at times and also played with various nagging injuries when Orton was starting. I think the main difference is Orton turned the ball over 9+ times in the first 5 games. Many of those in Broncos territory. Not to mention the numerous 3 and outs eating up minimal clock due to throwing every down. I think the improved running game and Tebow protecting the ball is helping the defense stay rested and keeping the Broncos winning the field position game thus the improved defense. I just mentioned the defensive injuries because someone was questioning why the defense is doing better. I think it's both those injuries along with what you're saying here. Fox is a smart coach because he has his whole team (offense, defense, and special teams) all working together with a purpose so that each unit benefits the others to all complement each other all with the goal of getting first downs or gaining field position and stopping the other team to get the ball back to get more first downs and have more time of possession and less possessions for the opponent which means low scoring close games all while wearing out the other teams defense by running the ball so often.
