The Unknown Poster 0 Posted September 22, 2011 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4991/danny-amendola Worth a grab if he's been dropped?
msudavedawg 5 Posted September 22, 2011 He should be owned in all PPR formats. People are idiots for dropping him.
Swoboman87 0 Posted September 22, 2011 Hmm...what about 0.5 PPR formats? Should I pick him up now, or wait a week?
SuperSteelers 1 Posted September 22, 2011 Hmm...what about 0.5 PPR formats? Should I pick him up now, or wait a week? Dropped Bess before the season started to pick up Amendola. Haven't dropped him since waiting to hear the severity of his injury. Looks like it was the right call considering he might be back quicker than expected. Also play in a .5 ppr low scoring league. The Football Guru 224 Posted September 22, 2011 He was dropped in my $500 league last week. I was happy to snag him for $70 (of $1000 free agent money) last night and will look for him to fill my WR3 role indefinitely in my PPR league upon his return, which is sounding like it will be around Week 6 at the latest. bjsteel 34 Posted September 22, 2011 Could use a 3rd/4th WR, still worth picking up in a non-ppr? I don't think he's much of a TD guy, so perhaps not!
bjsteel 34 Posted September 22, 2011 Actually, who on waivers at this stage is worth picking up in a non-ppr league that may be better than Amendola? I went ahead and picked him up anyway, wasn't able to get Nelson or Decker.

bjsteel 34 Posted September 22, 2011 Nate Washington has been quietly having a real good season oppisite Britt at WR. You are correct, and had to add him in the two leagues I missed out on Nelson and Decker!
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted September 22, 2011 He should be owned in all PPR formats. People are idiots for dropping him. I play in a limited roster league and snagged him once this news broke. The guy who dropped him is a guy who chases Waiver Wire Wonders week to week.
Fantasy Noob 10 Posted September 22, 2011 The guy who dropped him is a guy who chases Waiver Wire Wonders week to week. That's a good strategy to use but the trick is knowing who to drop. If Amendola truly is the worst player on his team he is probably loaded anyways and it wont matter.
Ray_T 792 Posted September 22, 2011 He should be owned in all PPR formats. People are idiots for dropping him. I think that's a little harsh. initially they said he would be out a minimum of 6-8 weeks and quite likely the rest of the year if surgery was required. Not to mention that it takes a week or two to get back into shape when you have been out that long. Prime WW pickups are usually in the first 3-4 weeks of the season. I think a person has to trust that the initial diagnosis was correct (usually it is). Given how gross the injury looked in the pics I saw, I figured there was no way he would be back anytime soon. As such, I dropped him. That does not make me or any of the others out there an idiot. I'm sure if we had roster space and could afford to keep a dead roster spot for a while, we may have kept him. But that is not the case in most leagues, and I feel your judgement is harsh.
