windycityiggy 0 Posted December 17, 2011 Iggy. Need your sage advice and input. I need one of the below 3 to go along with R. White and AJ Green. Having a really difficult time deciding. Leaning somewhat towards Thomas but don't know if I can trust him (or Tebow) yet. Below are their match-ups A. Boldin @ SD- Has good history against SD D. Thomas vs. NE- NE pass D dead last in NFL but can I trust both he and Tebow in a big game against Belichek. J. Gaffney @ NY G- 31st pass D in NFL and has had some decent games last few weeks. Please let me know. Will help answer you. Thanks!!! Scott Well....We are sitting pretty my man! Roddy White WENT OFF in my Yahoo league and got me 34.2 points hahaha! AJ is a must start, I'd dismiss Boldin here and cut it down to Thomas or Gaffney. While it's nice to see the kid Thomas emerging as a pretty good option, I'm not buying into it just yet. I think Decker is the guy who is going to benefit from this soft Patriots Defense. Gaffney is who I would go with here. Guy is going to get more looks just based on the fact that Fred Davis is no longer on the field. Sexy Rexy has Moss and Gaffney and maybe Armstrong on one or two deep balls. Giants giving up the 2nd-most fantasy points to WR's over the last five weeks PLUS he scored against them earlier this year. Good luck buddy, may the fantasy gods be with you! Will definitely start harvin Which one do I leave on the bench AP v NO Kevin smith @ Oak Sproles @ Min DHB v Det Kinda weird that they are all playing each other Not AP...Not Sproles.....So that leaves us with Smith and DHB....Kevin Smith is the better option IF he plays. As of right now his status is questionable...but the Lions site said he's on track to play. Always the chance of him re-aggravating the injury during the game so it's a tough call. Raiders WR core is PLAGUED with injuries right now and DHB might be the only healthy WR out there...That doesn't mean there will be success though...
ziggyschiefs 0 Posted December 17, 2011 I have 3 WR spots and a FLEX to fill this week since Forte is out for me. Starting Stevie Johnson for sure I have Robinson and Austin from Dallas and am thinking it would be hard to sit either one for fear of the other one going off. Decker is playing NE and i think he'll get a lot of looks DJax has Revis so that option is questionable... Also, Aromashadu (at least 10 targets last two weeks) and Driver (4 catches last 2 weeks and JEnnings out) are available on waivers... Which three do i start besides Johnson? Austin Robinson Decker DJax Aromashadu Driver I also have Donald Brown, Ryan Grant, or Kahlil Bell who i could put in the FLEX instead of an above WR... Austin Robinson Decker DJax Aromashadu Driver I also have Donald Brown or Kahlil Bell who i could put in the FLEX instead of an above WR... I like Austin over Robinson. Robinson is questionable for tonight's game and at the end of the game, Austin should have more fantasy points than Robinson....IF he even plays... I also love Decker against this soft Patriots defense like I've stated in other peoples questions. Tebow at some point will throw the ball and it's going to Decker or Thomas and I think Decker reaches the end zone this week. So we have Johnson, Austin, and Decker in there. The Flex spot can go to DeSean if you want to gamble on him, but I don't like anyone that has to line up against Revis and Cromartie. Aromashadu might be a nice sleeper or even Kahlil Bell, but on paper, DeSean will most likely end up with the most fantasy poitns. Hope all this helps, and good luck the rest of the way! May the fantasy gods be with you! -Iggy

windycityiggy 0 Posted December 17, 2011 In a PPR league (1 point per catch) choose two: Wells vs. CLE SJAX vs CIN Sproles @ MIN Thanks Wells for sure. It's a toss up between SJAX and Sproles....I hate to tell you to sit a guy like SJAX because he is St. Louis' WHOLE OFFENSE, but the match up isn't great. The Bengals shut down Arian Foster last week and might do the same to SJAX this week. On top of that...you are in a PPR league and Sproles will always be in the position to catch balls out of the backfield. Hope this helps. I'd go Wells & Sproles. Good luck the rest of the way! I just saw this response and had arrived at the same conclusion... nice to get confirmation. I am leaning towards playing Smith and benching DHB. If I do the opposite, I can see Smith really making me regret it.... but it's harder to imagine the reverse. Even if K Smith ends up leaving the game early he probably will still have more points than DHB. Palmer will running for his life all day.
windycityiggy 0 Posted December 17, 2011 Which of these TE would u start...Gresham or Ballard? Believe it or not Ron...this might be the toughest question of the week....so congrats lol. Here we go....Gresham is never a sure thing....and Dalton looks for A.J. Green before anyone else, but Gresham is usually his 2nd choice. He is facing the worst defense in the league, HOWEVER, they actually are the #1 Defense against the TE position. Strange huh? On the other hand we have Ballard who is in a pass happy offense at the moment and gets quite a few red zone targets himself and the Redskins have given up the 2nd most points to the TE position in the last five weeks! My guess with all honesty....is that both of them end up with similar stat lines. I think Ballard will get you more yardage, but it's more likely that Gresham will reach the end zone. Tough call Ron. Hope this at least helps!
windycityiggy 0 Posted December 17, 2011 ppr league.... Felix Jones or VJax? Gotta go Felix the cat here I think. The Cowboys have no other valuable RB with Choice gone and Murray on the IR.....Tampa Bay is HORRID against the run! Who would you rather be facing? The Bucs defense or the Ravens defense? Jones will end up with more points in my opinion. Best of luck!

If Big Ben doesn't play do you really have faith in Charlie Batch to get Antonio the ball? Could put either Steve Johnson or DJax in place of him....I'd also be weary of SJAX and his horrible team. Rams can't do ###### in the passing game and every defense knows they are going to run it....Cincy just held Arian Foster in check, what makes you think they won't do the same here? windycityiggy 0 Posted December 18, 2011 pick 4 : not PPR. yes it is a plethora of riches! Gronkowski Calvin Johnson Wallace Cruz Nicks Bryant thanks WOW. LOL! Gronkowski is a must start. Calvin Johnson is a must start. Mike Wallace is USUALLY a must start but with Charlie Batch....I'm not so sure. I own Mike as well and I'm considering putting him on the bench! Miles Austin is healthy and back for the Cowboys so that will hurt Dez' value. Cruz and Nicks have been unreal. Nicks is by far on top of the food chain in that offense but both really do light it up. I'd say Gronkowski, CJ, Cruz, and Nicks. Hope this helps and best of luck! windycityiggy 0 Posted December 18, 2011 Laurent Robinson vs TB tonight or Marshall vs Buffalo My opponent has dez bryant if that makes a difference. 3 reasons I say Marshall. One Robinson is HURT. He did not practice Friday and is still listed as questionable for tonight's game. My guess....he still takes the field but in playoff time you can't be investing in players that aren't 100%. Secondly, Marshall caught 19 passes against this same team last year. THIRD PROBLEM I have here....is that Matt Moore has a concussion and that means J.P. Losman will be throwing the pigskin to Brandon...Dig farther though nd you will remember J.P. was drafted by the Bills and later released. Maybe some revenge here? Either way, Marshall should get a higher total then a 75% Laurent Robinson. Just my opinion...Best of luck!

coachchavez 0 Posted December 18, 2011 2 ways to look at it. backup qbs love tight ends and 3 and 4 wrs because thats who they mostly practice with; yet, losman also is smart enough to know that he knows where his bread would be buttered best and thats marshall. over under tonight is 47.5 and miami is 41.5. whole extra td to be had tonight. also what are the chances robinson is the leading wr 2 weeks in a row over 3 legitimate targets in dez, witten and austin

windycityiggy 0 Posted December 18, 2011 VJax, Laurent or Demaryius as 3rd WR ? Colston/Welker already in ... VJax or Demaryius. Vincent Jackson will always get his, even against a defense like Baltimore's...but he may be held in check sunday night. Demaryius has a pretty good run and has the hot hand, he is facing the worst passing defense in the league and if the Broncos go down early they will have to abandon the run and throw to him or Decker. Is this a PPR league or no? This is a tough call, most likely will get similar point totals...

I like the way Rivers is throwing the ball lately though and Lardarius Webb may be out. But the outside chance Demaryius may post a big number Sunday is enticing. Another question - Gates or Hernandez. Gates will draw a lot of attention Sunday night, where as Hernandez may be the go to TE if Gronk is doubled. Thoughts ? Robinson S. Johnson R. Rice R. Mathews A. Bradshaw K. Smith M. Morris J. Stewart Wow. Ok well like I said earlier, I own Mike Wallace but may sit him....The thought of Charlie Batch behind center scares me....Colston is a must start. I'd pass on Robinson tonight, he's not 100% and Miles Austin is. Steve Johnson I would start as well so I guess that leaves ya with Wallace. He might still get his, but temper expectations. For your RB's I'd go with Ray Rice as a must and it's between Bradshaw and Kevin Smith. Only problem is he is still questionable for tomorrow's game. If he is cleared and is reported as the starter, I'd go with him, if not then go with Bradshaw. Hope this helps, best of luck!

Gates will draw a lot of attention Sunday night, where as Hernandez may be the go to TE if Gronk is doubled. Thoughts ? Thanks Horrible match ups by the numbers or both players. Ravens are the 2nd best team at defending the TE positon, and the Broncos are the 4th best team at defending the TE position. However, Gronk is the go-to-guy in New England regardless of double teams. Brady just throws em up there to him regardless and Hernandez unfortunately has become more of the blocking tight end. Gates has the hot hand, I'd have to say him.
