the_future420 3 Posted October 17, 2011 Im thinking of trading for him in a keeper league that has an IR spot, but since Indy hasn't placed him there yet, he's just gonna be taking up a valuable roster spot. Any rumblings on him being placed in IR? Theres no way they would try to bring him back this year so why not IR him, and add some other joker to the roster? macewen 0 Posted October 17, 2011 They are 0-6. I think it's pretty obv that he's not coming back this year. They most likely will draft his replacement in Luck after the season.

Do some homework and maybe you will be able to answer the question yourself. No one knows if they will put the ir tag on him until it happens. Sick of these posts. I heard he was recovering nicely and a little quicker than anticipated. Because of this, I suspect Manning does not want to go on IR because he feels he will be back on the field this year. how realistic this is, I really couldnt say. However, if the colts lose about 3 more games, it may not matter. They may be best advised to give him the rest of the year to get his health back.
Patmos 2 Posted October 17, 2011 Being from Indy, I believe you guys may be missing the point as to why Manning has not been put on the IR. It is not because they hold out hope that he can still play and contribute this year...it is to keep him eligible so he can practice. If he can practice then the Colts and Manning can better determine the likelihood of a full recovery for next year. Without practicing, it would be wait-and-see until next camp. You cannot practice with the team if you are on IR. And the Colts need to know sooner rather than later whether Manning will be the QB for the next few years. Simple solution....Do some homework and maybe read the subject line. This will likely answer what the thread is about and since you are sick of these posts, you can quickly choose to NOT click and chime in. Spend more time with your beernuts and less posting on topics you're "sick" off. Easy solution to ALL your troubles.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 18, 2011 I'd think they would lose some future ticket sales announcning he's officially done for the year.
