What I don't get is why it's okay to lay off teachers (for example) but not okay to ask millionaires to pay a higher rate on income tax or capital gains? Why is it the teachers, cops, firemen, and seniors are the ones that have to be cut FIRST instead of maybe all the free stuff for illegal aliens or foreign aid or some senator's pet project???
