SexyRexy 60 Posted August 22, 2012 My league awards 6 pts for passing TD's and 6 pts for rushing and receiving TD's. Non PPR but bonus points for long plays. Given this point structure, assuming the first 5 go (in no particular order) Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Foster, Rice, am I crazy for taking Stafford over McCoy? I'm really going back and forth on this. If I go QB first round my first 3 rounds look like, QB/RB/RB If I go RB first round it looks like RB/WR/RB Which route do you think I should go? I expect McCoy to fall to me at 6, but at this point I'm torn between McCoy or Stafford. I could always take a Romo/Ryan later on but with such heavy points for QBs I feel like I'd be shooting myself in the foot if I let Stafford go. BUT McCoy is a great pick and allows me to avoid all the RB uncertainty. HELP! DRAFT IS TOMORROW!!
Dr Hook 6 Posted August 22, 2012 I am taking Stafford and then BPA. If it happens to be a WR in the 2nd then it is a WR. So be it.

BUT McCoy is a great pick and allows me to avoid all the RB uncertainty. HELP! DRAFT IS TOMORROW!! You have to take McCoy. It's about rarity at RB. McCoy is one of 3-4 guaranteed full time producers at his position, whereas you can very possibly hit on a QB - or QB tandem - that can perform well enough to substitute for Stafford (Ryan in round 4 or 5 comes to mind, allowing you to build a strong nucleus first). And who knows: perhaps one of the other owners who you think will take the last of the top 3 QB doesn't (Brady, Rodgers, Brees) and instead takes McCoy - at which point you'll take one of them instead. I am drafting 6th as well, and I have what I think is a tougher issue. It's a keeper league, and my team wasn't exactly filled with top options from which to choose. I have Roddy White and Vick as the top two, so I'm declaring White as my keeper. There is no option to declare no keeper and to throw him back; it doesn't garner me an extra first round pick. I was approached by another owner with Megatron AND McFadden on his roster, and he's willing to declare either his keeper, and then immediately trade to me that player and a 5th rounder (which is considered a 6th rounder, since all the keepers would be considered 1st round players) in return for my first 2 rounds of picks (which would really be rounds 2 and 3). I'm thinking about this only because either are top 8 players - and I'm looking for some input from posters here. If I elect to give my 2 first picks for McFadden, my team will likely look something like this: Roddy White McFadden Doug Martin/ADP Ryan Kevin Smith Vernon Davis I do like that nucleus, but if I do not do that and have 2 picks right away, my first pick could possibly be a DeMarco Murry or Marshawn Lynch (if they fall to me), and then POSSIBLY come back with a Fred Jackson or someone similar: Roddy White Murray/Lynch (?) Fred Jackson/Brandon Marshall(?) Ryan Gates Kevin Smith (?) I'm really torn regarding what to do here, because I REALLY like McFadden this year - but he's an obvious risk. WHO'S GOT OPINIONS ON THIS?
