SweetnessWJP 0 Posted October 5, 2012 Contrary to a previous report, Rams GM Les Snead indicated that Danny Amendola's clavicle does not appear to be broken. ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Thursday's tests were inconclusive. Snead acknowledged that the team will not Amendola's full diagnosis until more tests are run on Friday. Whether the clavicle is broken or not, the early expectation is that Amendola will return later in the season. The initial timetable of 4-6 weeks could change pending Friday's news. Stay tuned for updates. Hoping for a nice 2-3 week injury here. Maybe wishful thinking. Bye is week 9 for the Rams, so maybe we're looking at three games missed. gar1091957 0 Posted October 5, 2012 Fractured clavicle or separated AC joint are the 2 most likely injuries. Fractured clavicle if pinned can be back in 6 weeks or so. Depending on the Grade of AC injury predicts return if AC sprain. Can pad and inject for play so hopefully a quicker return.
unloopme 4 Posted October 5, 2012 "ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Danny Amendola has been diagnosed with a "sternoclavicular joint separation," and is expected to miss "about six weeks." The Sideline View's Adam Caplan previously confirmed Amendola had avoided a fracture, though Schefter reports he could return in fewer than six weeks. It's a break for the Rams, but it's still ultimately doubtful Amendola will be back before Week 11. An absolute best-case scenario would be returning after St. Louis' Week 9 bye." GobbleDog 995 Posted October 6, 2012 An absolute best-case scenario would be returning after St. Louis' Week 9 bye." Most-likely case scenario is Week 12 or 13. Amendola was on his way to being a HUGE value pick this year for all the lucky drafters out there. Sucks being right and getting screwed by fluke injury. I gotta dump him at this point. That's way too long to wait for a white WR with "good upside".
