Boilermaker04 11 Posted November 11, 2012 McCoy/Charles 7-2. 2nd in total points. Charles wasn't bad at the beginning of the season, McCoy has underperformed but been consistent. More importantly, I also drafted McGahee, Leshoure, Spiller, Rudolph, and Big Ben and successfully streamed my D/ST, and have been more successful than not managing matchups. American Chewy 98 Posted November 11, 2012 the guy who went foster/lynch is tied for first in my league. he also took aj green at 3.01 too. conversely the guy who went dmc/peterson is in last in the standings and another guy who went mjd/mathews, he's last in points. personally, i think rb/rb is dead as a fantasy strategy. too risky as its almost impossible to hit on two, let alone one stud rb anymore. and when you miss its a killer. way too many reliable top qbs and wr's and now te's to stick with this old strategy. not till the nfl goes back to a run first league. clevelandsteamers 0 Posted November 11, 2012 Was going to suggest same thing. Records really aren't the best indicator even if you went RB / RB in the first couple rounds. You could have drafted two crummy RB's in the first and second round but hit gold in the later rounds. In most of my leagues my first couple draft picks have been awful: Murray, Dmac, Stafford. but my teams consist of WR combo's Cruz, Jones, Harvin, Marshall, Wayne, Decker, Thomas, and Cobb at the WR Position. QB position has combos' of Ryan, Manning, Romo, and Luck. I personally got a lot of mid and late round value that have out performed most of the guys taken in the first few rounds. Just saying whether or not you went RB/RB isn't the best indicator to whether or not your team is successful because we can't see the rest of your team. Oh I agree records aren't the best indicator, was just pointing out that in this particular PPR league my best drafts were usually when I went RB/RB. The rest of my teams is in my sig
