CallMeBigCat 1 Posted September 25, 2013 Standard scoring and everything, 2 rbs, 2 wrs, 1 te, 1 rb/wr. Trade: VJax, Julius Thomas, and Rashard Mendenhall for Randall Cobb, Deandre Hopkins, and Jermaine Gresham My team: QB: Cam, Pryor RB: T. Rich, L. Bell, Mendy, McGahee, B. Tate, M. Ball WR: Dez, VJax, D. Avery, E. Sanders TE: Graham, J. Thomas Is VJax worth keeping? The buccaneers offense worries me but VJax has actually been productive from a yardage stand point but hasnt been able to get TD's. Thats what worries me. This trade makes my WR incredibly studly, and I'm a believer in Bell and am ok with him as my #2 rb but I screw myself over at my flex with this trade. Is Avery a viable receiver for the future or was the eagles game a fluke. Leave a link below and I'll answer yours as well. Thanks.
ynotu 0 Posted September 25, 2013 VJax will be just fine. If it wasnt for a few bad calls he would have had a couple ekstra long TDs and been one of the top WRs so far. This trade would leave you even weaker at RB where I think you are weak already. I would much rather package Mendy and Bell for someone like Bernard, Reggie Bush or McFadden and get a more solid RB2. Not sure it would be enough though. If you are trying to figure out the value of the guys: VJax = Cobb (roughly) Thomas >>> Gresham Mendenhall > Hopkins
PujolsJunkie 4 Posted September 25, 2013 That deal would be fine in a PPR league. I think Jackson will be fine and close enough to Cobb in a standard league that you'd be giving away Thomas for too little. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=424257&do=findComment&comment=5100593

GULAN 4 Posted September 25, 2013 I agree with above. If you do trade J Thomas... Capitalize on him. Upgrade your RB position. Cobb is great and all, but not much better than VJAX. Hopkins is great too but he's a rookie in a surprisingly struggling offense, and Gresham will ride your bench all but 1 week Also, nobody is excited to get VJAX right now (rib injury, new QB and all). At least wait until he blows up and has a great game. Trust me he will...... Nobody else from Tampa comes close to his talent level. Even if he is double teamed. Jackson catches that ball........ Can you take a look at mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=424289
Antiramie 50 Posted September 25, 2013 I agree that you need to upgrade at RB before anything else. Trade Graham or Thomas for a stud RB.
jackjohn 31 Posted September 25, 2013 If you can switch Hopkins for a rb in this trade, I think it would be worthwhile. Mendenhall is already in a timeshare and having injury issues, so his value won't be going up. Unfortunately he is your rb2. So if the other owner has a Tate, J. Bell or someone like that, I would do it. Good luck and please see mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=424307&do=findComment&comment=5101289
scottsind 61 Posted September 25, 2013 From what I see I think you should stay put. If anything try and get a HUGE upgrade at running back with someone who needs a tight end. I think someone would hive up a really solid rb 2 for that tight end. I think then you could play leveon Bell at flex instead of a rb2. If you could do a trade that involves mendy and julius thomas that does not include VJax i would go that route. Hope this helps. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=424309
CallMeBigCat 1 Posted September 26, 2013 Alright thanks guys. I sent out multiple trades with Mendy, J. Thomas, and D. Avery for either Fitzgerald, Bush, or Cobb. Hopefully I get one. Thanks.
