GULAN 4 Posted September 25, 2013 10 Team PPR League.I'm 3-0 trying to take advantage of a weaker team 0-3. I want to buy low on SpillerMy TeamQB: T Romo, P RiversWR: B Marshall, D Amendola, P Garcon, S Johnson, E Sanders, K ThompkinsRB: A Foster, M Forte, L Miller, D WoodheadTE: J Cameron, J Thomas, G OlsenDEF: CHIK: D BailyHis Team:QB: M Stafford, M SchaubWR: D Thomas, M Williams, J Edelman, D Avery, N Washington, S RiceRB: C Spiller, D Murray, T Richardson, D Richardson, B TateTE: J Finley, K WinslowDEF: MIAK: G HartleyHe wants J Thomas.... Is J Thomas for Spiller straight up FAIR? Any suggestions????????????
mamba24 0 Posted September 25, 2013 I think so....J Thomas is a TE1 these days...a TD in every game, and also playing with a QB that can get him 10+ pts every game. Spiller is a prime buy low....You can always package one of your other RBs such as lamar miller or better yet woodhead if your league vetoes the original trade. Fearsome 22 Posted September 25, 2013 Thanks for mine. Looking at the stats, it is more than fair, but, we both know it is not. So... Do a 2-for-2. Spiller and Tate (so you have the handcuff for Foster) for Thomas and Miller or Woodhead. That is a good deal and both parties get what they want. I answered your question in my thread...Check back. GULAN 4 Posted September 25, 2013 I thought of that (Spiller/Tate for Thomas/Woodhead) but I dont know if I want to give up Woodhead. He has 17 receptions so far this year playing 1/3 of the snaps. If and when Matthews goes down Woodhead is an instant stud (That's why I drafted him). I'm in a PPR league. Also I can possibly trade L Miller for Decker from a WR heavy team that is in desperate need of a RB My ultimate plan is to trade J Thomas (and maybe a WR 3/4) for Spiller (and hopefully but unlikely Tate) Then: Trade L Miller for Decker Don't know if I can make it happen, but I would be really happy if I could!!! dma1 0 Posted September 25, 2013 he is hurting for TE could get more perhaos Trich or Murray spiller and the bills O is concerning me
Acaeagle 1 Posted September 25, 2013 I'd trade Thomas for spiller. You already have Cameron and Olsen...you're getting a potential ppr juggernaut in spiller. Do that.
p.man 7 Posted September 25, 2013 I think any time you can get a Rb for a Te you should do that deal. I think it would be a great addition with you already having Olsen. I hope Cameron can keep it up. Although, I think the Bengals match up will be a lot tougher this week. Thanks for your reply. Good Luck!
CallMeBigCat 1 Posted September 25, 2013 Chances are he is gonna ask for a lot because Spiller was his first round pick. You'd probably have to give him J. Thomas and Steve Johnson or maybe Amendola for spiller and tate. Then go around and do the miller for decker trade. I
ynotu 0 Posted September 25, 2013 I doubt that he will say yes to Thomas for Spiller, but if that is an offer you need to hit that accept button. I would say that he is more desperate for quality WRs than a TE. Garcon+Olsen for Spiller and then move Miller for that WR.
jackjohn 31 Posted September 25, 2013 I think its a fair starting point. J. Thomas has a lot of competition to get the ball in Den. And F. Jax is looking good in Buf right now, so it is a great buy low opportunity. You're not giving up a starting te (in your lineup) for a rb that will be a flex/bye week fill in. Little risk/big reward. Good luck and please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=424307&do=findComment&comment=5101289
benglish88 2 Posted September 25, 2013 I think if you push the right buttons here, you can make a play for Spiller. All you have to do is start as you said you would: Offer J Thomas, (he couldn't be any hotter than now)_for one Spiller (who couldn't be any colder than now). See what he comes back with. Likely, it will be pairing J Thomas with a wideout as stated by one poster above: BUT, I tend to like Garcon. I would push Emmanuel Sanders or better yet (Amendola) his way. He won't likely take Amendola because he's hurt,(but it sure is interesting to think of WHAT Amendola can do when healthy). I don't think Amendola will stay healthy all year, even if he returns.....get rid of him if you can. just my 2 cents
Yamirfaz 3 Posted September 26, 2013 I was in a similiar position as you. I had Thomas and Cameron and traded Thomas for Morris. I have no idea why people value Thomas THAT much, but I'm more than happy to take a RB1 off somebody's hands. Thomas is a really nice TE, but not worth a top notch RB IMO. If the owner is willing to do Thomas for Spiller, do not try and complicate it by adding on. He might become suspicious and back down. Have him propose the trade and accept immediately. GULAN 4 Posted September 26, 2013 ***********UPDATE************ The L Miller for E Decker trade is no longer gonna happen with the other team. I talked to the Spiller team last night and he doesn't want to give up a RB without getting another RB in return. AND, he is happy with his WR's. After talking with him he said he would trade D Thomas for my J Thomas. I wanted to do that trade in a heartbeat!!!! But I had to hold back my excitement..... I then asked him about Spiller... He wants Woodhead and a WR. I offered him E Sanders to him explaining that Sanders has 30 targets so far this year. He told me he would sleep on it. So essentially, This is the outcome.... J Thomas, D Woodhead, and E Sanders FOR D Thomas and CJ Spiller This is great, but since he said he was going to sleep on it (and I haven't heard back from him) I think I should sweeten the deal and offer a better WR or maybe even 1 more WR. I want to make the right decision because I do not want the trade to get vetoed either. Would J Thomas, D Woodhead, and E Sanders for D Thomas and C Spiller get vetoed?????? Should I leave it or should I trade more to even it out?????????
Fantasy Noob 10 Posted September 26, 2013 I like do that deal in a heartbeat. If he is happy don't suggest anything else just accept as fast as you can. I was going to suggest you offer Foster, J Thomas, and S. Johnson for DThomas and C Spiller. You made a better deal.
