Trade Lesean McCoy and Tony Romo for Drew Brees and Leveon Bell

Recommended Posts

I would be getting Drew Brees and Leveon Bell

It is a standard league and passing td's are worth 6 points. Rb's get a point every 25 yards and 6 points for a touchdown.

Would you make this trade because Drew Brees can single handedly win me match ups, but it is going to make my running back committee weak. Here is my team.

Romo

McCoy

Lamar Miller

Megatron

Julio Jones

Jordan Cameron

Josh Gordon (flex)

49ers D

Dolphins kicker

Bench

Givens

Sanders

Joique Bell

Shane Vereen

Brandon Weeden

Charles Clay

Bryce Brown

I love Brees, but I would not do this deal.

1. DAL's schedule is pretty pass-friendly. In fact, other than Week 10 (@NO) and Week 14 (@CHI), Romo should have smooth sailing. Of course Brees is a better QB, but stat-wise, I actually think Romo will be a much more solid starter than people recognize.

2. McCoy is who he is. Every player has a price, but it's hard to replace that kind of value at RB, period, and the upgrade from Romo to Brees isn't nearly worth it to me.

3. 2 TDs in London, yeah, but Bell is otherwise unproven. Plus PIT is imploding, they'll be passing more to keep up, etc.

4. You would effectively be giving away three players, since I assume you won't keep Bryce on the bench for long. Or maybe you will, in which case you're getting the downside (he takes up a spot and you'll likely never start him) without the upside (he's insurance for a guy on your roster, one of the best backs in the league).

As a Graham owner I would love to have Brees on my team, but Romo, as the previous poster said, is coming into a stretch for the rest of the season where he's going to have great matchups. I think you sit tight...you have possibly the #1 RB for the season and Romo isn't any slouch. The drop from Brees to Romo seems small compared to the drop from McCoy to a weekly match-up for your RB position.

I wouldn't do this deal either. I could see it if Romo was a little bit worse or you had a different QB. Romo has been playing pretty well so I would keep what you have.

NO... The difference in points between Romo and Brees, is no where close to the difference between McCoy and Bell... Romo and McCoy is a solid pair.. No need to risk losing McCoy for an unproven Bell.

Not to beat this dead horse, and things could change with injury/etc., but in light of what happened today, I think point #1 is indisputable at this point.
