So,

 

We have an owner who apparently has thrown in the towel. He started all his scrubs, and put his "stars" on the bench, he dropped Frank Gore for Tim Tebow, and started Tebow. Yes, he is out of the playoffs. But, in the process, he gave a win away (to someone who already had a week 1 bye locked up)

 

This is just a dinky $50 work league and I am commish, but my question is can I restrict Gore from being on waivers? the owner is already out of the league going forward and his little fit doesn't really affect too much but obviously Gore is still an issue. I would rather he just can't be played at all but cannot figure how to do it. Can anyone help with this?

Lay down the hammer! Notify everyone in your league via phone,txt,or email (in that order) and update them on the situation. Since you're League Manager you have to power to add players to a team, so when waivers clear just add him to the team that dropped him.

This. You should be able to edit the roster before waivers clear, so you should go to commish tools tonight and put gore back on his team, set his lineup with his best players, and then lock his roster.

What kind of workplace is this? Complacency is common in work leagues. Full on dickhead moves not so much.

As others have said, lock his team. Drop who he added (Tebow et al). Add back who he dropped. Set "normal" roster and be done with it and him.
