Recommended Posts

Oddly in 2008 Obama held the same view on gay marriage as this former CEO.

Obummer contributed thousands to a campaign to bar gay people from marrying? Link??? :o

I wonder what the media reaction would be if a woman CEO was forced out because she donated to Planned Parenthood.

What is your point? Is it that a private citizen who donates to a cause is evil, but a public official who is in a position to set actual policy is a shiny unicorn?

I think his point was that if you or I want to influence politics through our wallets then we first need to find hundreds of thousands or even millions of like-minded individuals to band together with before we have any hope of effectiveness. A couple fellas like the Koch brothers, on the other hand, can throw truckloads of money at candidates any time it strikes their fancy.

No, my point is that disapproving of gay marriage and disapproving to the point that you donate thousands to a campaign to prevent it aren't the same position.

Millions of like-minded voters agreed with his position and voted ghay marriage down.

Actually please ignore that last post. I got my threads confused. I thought this was the campaign contribution limits thread.

I happen to agree that this CEO got a raw deal, especially since the company knew all of this stuff before he became CEO.
