VOTE: Pitching Category Change: SHO to QS?

We have used SHO in the past, but since that category usually ends in a tie and since SHO are happening less and less, it was proposed to change the category to quality starts...

Yes we would still have CG, we would just be changing SHO to QS...

Yup... And please, I hope that the owners here understand that this scenario is NOT a QS:

 

Pitcher goes 6 innings and gives up 2 ER, then they pitch the seventh inning and give up 2 ER, so now their line is 7 IP, 4 ER... That is NOT a QS... Yes he started the inning with one but then lost it...

I don't know how many times I go to the Yahoo fantasy baseball boards to see how clueless people are and see multiple threads on "Why didn't <starting pitcher> get a QS?"

Well to be honest I never understood why 3 er over 6 innings was considered quality in the first place but that's an entirely different argument.

even though i dont completely agree with the MLB rule I do think that if we decide to go with QS as our stat, we should follow what the MLB rule is. if we deviate it might get sticky with any stat changes and such.

That and I am fairly certain that Yahoo (or even ESPN for that matter) doesn't allow individual leagues to modify the categories themselves.

It can't be changed... That is the definition and that is what we have to use...

QS is currently up 10-0... SHO has been removed and QS has been added...
