R8RMick 242 Posted March 9, 2015 Who said I was satisfied. But if you want to claim unfinished business...you might want to start in a year where they didn't win it all. I don't think many were that fond of Jackson. Lynch would have been nice...giving a 4...but the guy is not a great fit for GB (McCarthy and Thompson). Types like him get shipped out quick. Oh, and adding Lynch does not mean they would have won anymore titles at this point either. You win lol... though I think it safe to say they don't lose that NFC Championship game last year if Lynch is a cheesehead as opposed to tearing them a new one for the Seahawks. Why would you think that? They had a RB doing quite well against Seattle and still didn't go to him at the GL. Hell, Seattle had Lynch and didn't go to him at the GL in the Super Bowl. Voltaire 5,203 Posted March 10, 2015 Good for my FF team but bad for everybody else in the NFC North. I'm glad he didn't join James Jones and enter the black hole.
Frozenbeernuts 2,119 Posted March 10, 2015 Because they work well together. Because the cap is rising and they had plenty of money to do it. Because the cap will likely rise again in the next few years and it won't seem like such a high price. I think a GM should save wherever he can. There is a lot of money now locked up in rogers, nelson, and cobb. I think that money going into more important positions on the line or defense is money better spent. I dont think its the worst signing, but its not a good signing imo.

Sure there is...but look at some of these other signings? I would like if they sign Bulaga...but now looking like someone might pay close to 10 mil for him? No thanks. IMO...when you have talent that you drafted and developed...you keep it. I don't mind spending this on Cobb and Nelson...Id mind it spending on someone from another team who may not fit here. Look at the cuts the past week...how many of them were free agent signings 2 and 3 years ago? Right now...they can spend on Cobb and Nelson...because they are on cheap contracts with the rest of their WRs, with their RB, with their C and LT. And they manage the cap well. GB kept Cobb - and Nelson - for less than Maclin is getting now with KC. I think he is a bargain.

roroco 75 Posted March 10, 2015 They just re-signed Bulaga. No mention on crust size, but this has been a very good off season for the Packers.
roroco 75 Posted March 10, 2015 Apparently it is a 5-year deal for just under $7 million a year. Great contact for both.
R8RMick 242 Posted March 10, 2015 Oh the Pack are already the big winners. Cobb (HUGE for them down stretch last year), Bulaga (@ $7 mill a steal for PFF's #4 OT), and Suh leaving the division? Oh most certainly they are the winners.

Oh most certainly they are the winners. Ngata now in the division though. But they keep the Oline together and WR corps together. Rodgers is definitely happy with that so far. Now if they can keep Tramon Williams and can then focus on ILB and Line I will be happy.

Losing Orlando Franklin to the Bolts, then Iupati to the Cards is tough.

Yeah...I think he is in over his head there. Like the guy too. But he has a whole lot of money to spend and seemingly nobody wants it.
