Marshall 98 Posted July 10, 2015 Hearing his name (even though in sad context) brought a smile to my face - the memories are that sweet. Many years ago, a mutual friend of ours commissioned me to do some artwork for Kenny as a special birthday gift. I absolutely loved working on that - and it remains one of my favorite pieces (and proudest accomplishments) today. For some good links and tributes, check out Scott Bair's twitter feed: https://twitter.com/BairCSN Of all of the pictures that I've seen in the past few hours though, this one of Stabler and Madden ranks near the top for me http://www.raiders.com/media-vault/photo-gallery/Remembering-Ken-Stabler/b3349ac6-e689-400c-8df5-86a82d24d1f8#7adbfe60-8e6c-41bd-a850-fe21c4d5bcab ...I hear that the NFL Network is devoting today (Friday) to running Ken Stabler's games as a tribute. As Ann Killion noted: Ann Killion @annkillion If a league's network dedicates a day to playing games a player starred in, that player should probably be in that league's hall of fame. He's in our Hall of Fame.
Scary Gary 19 Posted July 10, 2015 They didn't call him "the Gambler" for nothing. Kenny was a gamer of sorts, a gambler if you will. He would go out on that field, and throw caution to the wind when it mattered most. He was replaced by Daryl Lamonica, bur that didn't keep Kinny from digging deeper and coming back the next season. Kenny winked at a defensive player from the opposing team once, to let that guy know that the Raiders were going to put a whooping on them that day.
