Sheppard will be like last years Lockett

Lockett will be like last years Landry

Landry had more catches then OBJ last year.... And only 300 less yards. About 9 less TD's.

I expect Landry's TD's to double this year. His yards to gain a couple hundred, and again have more catches.

When I say "last years OBJ" I don't mean fame and persona, but stat wise I think he'll be there. (i.e. Top 5-10 WR)

OBJ still has more upside of course. Not denying him. I just think Landry takes another step up the ranks and is last years OBJ "stat wise".

This is why he's NOW a 2nd or 3rd round pick. I got him in the 6th last year. Next year it might take a 1st rounder? Just projecting IMO.

Pharoah Cooper has had a few good punt returns for the Rams, with a long of 25 yards. He has also had three kick returns, averaging 31 yards per with a long of 48 yards. While the QB situation needs to be better, Cooper might be worth a speculative add at some point this season as a WR and return specialist.

Kenjon Barner continues to look like he should make the Eagles roster. While Sproles will be the primary return man, keep him in your flagged players in this format for multiple reasons.

Walt Powell in Buffalo has done a good job in punt returns, but has been mediocre in kick returns. He's also been decent as a wide receiver, but he needs to show more consistency. A lot of people assume Reggie Bush will be entrenched as the punt returner, but it could be an interesting decision for Rex.

you say only 300 yards less like 300 is a small number  only 9 TDs less. I like Landry. but he will never be a 10 TD guy. lucky to get 6 a year. He is a between the 20's possession WR . Once Parker is more polished he will be used even less unless his game evolves to being productive in the redzone.

Well, doubling his TD's would still be under 10. I can see 6-9 next year with still getting 100+ catches. Those TD's would sky rocket him up the WR ranks though.

His catches are his bread and butter i agree. That won't go away though. I don't care what Parker does. Parker could take off, but Landry will always be consistent I think. Parker is no gimme yet.

That was only Landry's 2nd year. Landry could drastically improve still. This is why we project. I think your capping him out, when you shouldn't.

Just because OBJ did in it year 2, doesn't mean Landry won't in year 3-5.

It took A. Brown about 4 years to REALLY start rolling too and get over the 10 TD hump. I remember him being just a receptions guy.

We'll see. :)

I also believe Landry had some misfortune in TDs last year and 4 is a floor for him. 6-9 is totally reasonable considering all the targets he will get in the offense. Total yards and receptions should remain pretty static for the next 2-3 years but TDs will vary. Also, I had him on numerous teams last year and I recall he did get his chances inside the red zone but like I said a bit of misfortune or he would have added some TDs to his stats. Good chance to outperform his last years total fantasy points.

back to the original question. do we see a guy like Marvin Jones getting a real boost in receptions? Someone (besides Cooks) on the Saints offense will have a big year but not sure if it's Snead or Thomas. Thomas is a big target...Not sold on Fleener's skills.

Why does Crabtree have such a late ADP? I don't think he gets the love he deserves. Last year targeted 146 times (yea, I know low conversion rate) with 9 TDs. He should continue nice numbers 80+ catches, 1000 yards with 8+ TD potential in that ascending offense.

other guys who can get 50+ catches (not exactly jarvis landry) are late round grabs like Eli Rogers and Tajae Sharpe. Tennessee (ascending offense) could throw more than we expect and as long as Big Ben is healthy we should expect a good pass attack from Pitt.

what I meant was Landry had really no other WR to steal any looks away from him. With Parker emerging, he will. Especially in the redzone cuz he is a bigger target. I think I read on rotoworld a few months back a stat on redzone looks and completions. If I am not mistaken Demarious Thomas and Landry had the worst conversion % in the NFL. Like 20 attempts and only 2-3 completions. Now that is obviously just as much the QB's fault as WRs. But some QB's can not throw to a small target when they dont have much field to work with. Not everyone is the great Tom Brady :overhead:

Again I like Landry and I hope he does well, but mostly I hope he gets to play with a more experienced and talented QB sometime soon/

One last point: Miami had R. Matthews last year who did in fact take 43 catches and almost 700 yards and 4 TD's away.

While I do see Parker getting much more work in, this is one WR that is now gone to Tenn. who did pretty decent.

And K. Stills sucks (even though he's having a nice preseason like usual)

I also think Miami could "potentially" have more production overall. Tannehill is the key there though. He's the real problem right now if anything to Landry.

Landry had room to improve. Redzone being #1. But, a 3rd year guy can defiantly improve. I doubt he regresses.

Parker is no sure thing either. what if he goes down again? Then Landry get MORE work then last year with no Matthews and Miller.

Sometimes WR's can be better with a good opposite WR too. Maybe Parker will demand #1 corners freeing up Landry?
