Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted October 31, 2016 For some picks with the highest being a 3rd rounder. Must not have felt that they could sign him, Hightower and Butler.
porter80 0 Posted October 31, 2016 They could have at least got them to throw in Gordon. This one doesn't make much sense.

I don't think Kraft wants to take on any more reclamation projects after Hernandez obviously, but even most recently Dom Easley. I don't see the benefit for them with the way the offense is already moving.

I would like to know what you have for info on Collins
Chasers Dawg 9 Posted October 31, 2016 Didn't think teams could trade "Compensatory Draft Picks" ?? (USA Today Fantasy Sports) New England Patriots LB Jamie Collins was traded to the Cleveland Browns on Monday, Oct. 31, in exchange for a compensatory third-round pick, according to sources. Oriole8159 86 Posted October 31, 2016 Collins was a "reclamation" project comparable to Hernandez? I would like to know what you have for info on Collins The Collins pick was made in the 2013 draft before Hernandez was arrested in June, 2013. They previously were more open to reclamation projects prior to Hernandez, so what you're saying is not really applicable to the point I'm trying to make right now. That Hernandez process drained Kraft though, so I don't think he's as eager to bring in someone like Gordon with all that new baggage. That's all I meant. Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted October 31, 2016 Didn't think teams could trade "Compensatory Draft Picks" ?? This is the first year that you can trade them. They changed the rule and I think that is a good thing. It is essentially what the Patriots would have gotten if they let Collins walk at the end of the season (best case). However, they get the pick in '17 instead of in '18. Word is that Collins was not taking the negotiations well and it was affecting his performance on the field (going off script, freelancing) and in the locker room (talking to other players, bad mouthing management). If so, that is a good way to get sent to Siberia (Cleveland).

Chandler Jones would be one with some "issues", though. His 2 brothers were no help for him.
Larry David 20 Posted October 31, 2016 Collins owner here... From an IDP standpoint I'm assuming this is an upgrade for Collins? He is going to play more snaps in Cleveland, the Browns defense will be on the field a lot more than the Pats D and, since teams will spend the majority of the 3rd and 4th quarters running out the clock against the Browns, his opportunity for tackles will be greater. I was going to drop him Wednesday. I still might because I don't see how this helps if he's coming in mid-season. I think there's better out there.
