RedzoneMonster 107 Posted August 20, 2019 Am I the only one noticing that CBS’s Strength of Schedule for players seems off? For example David Johnson has the #1 hardest schedule for RBs according to them. Most other places say he has around the 7th easiest. I see the same thing with a lot of other players’ SOS on CBS too.

TBayXXXVII 2,634 Posted August 20, 2019 One day while listening to the Fantasy Sports channel on Sirius, one of the hosts said that the S.O.S. is stupid because it's impossible to project a team defense. He said that if you looked at last years S.O.S. at the beginning of the season and the end, it's miles apart. Because of that, you should essentially ignore the S.O.S. with the lone exception of using it as a tie-breaker when you're stuck between choosing 2 or 3 players. Same can be said for any position. Did the Coordinator change? The scheme? Those are MUCH more important to me than the actual players. Certain schemes fit certain players better. Some defensive linemen are forced into an outside linebacker position in a 3-4, which rarely works out well. I try to follow the coordinators. Most of them stick with the same philosophy their entire career and seem to make it work anywhere they go. Wade Phillips, Fangio, Williams..... They always have a good fantasy defense. Same for players working with Andy Reid or any of the young QB guru's that are now head coaches.
