Kopy 596 Posted April 20, 2021 Oh boy. I'm really out of the loop on anything from 95 on, when things just really jumped the shark. I have some since then, but very few. I'm basically a 1960 - 1994 rookie card, or first brand (You'll find that alot in football because of the pre NFL merger, topps, fleer sets.) card type guy. I'd guess maybe a Tom Brady card. Or a very limited insert?
vuduchile 1,947 Posted April 21, 2021 Gotta go with a baseball card since that’s the sport that started it all. There are lots of more expensive cards, but Mike Trout is the best baseball player of this generation and will likely retire as a Top 5 all time. So, it’s the 2011 Topps Update Series #US175 Mike Trout rookie card.

Score maybe? But outside of that. I'm pretty much out of this century.
Gepetto 1,482 Posted April 22, 2021 The answer to the original question is 2008 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Autograph Superfractor One of One Mike Trout BGS 9 with 10 Autograph. Sold for $3,930,000. I had the regular 2008 Bowman Chrome Autograph Mike Trout BGS 9/10 Auto that I bought for $430 and sold for $1,300 about 4 years ago, highest sale for that grade at the time. Those now sell for $19,000 so I regret selling it obviously. I did get a 2011 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Refractor Mike Trout BGS 9 a year or so ago for about $600 and last sale of this card in this grade was $3,350. At least I have a nice Trout RC still.
