Alright guys,

This is designed to be a post for recommends for RB's on the wire in your respective leagues.

if there are guys on the wire in your league who you feel shouldnt be, post the name here.

I will list a few along with the new Baltimore signings

Let us know who you think is the best pickup.  if the best pickup isnt listed, post here.

Ravens signings

Latavius Murray

Devonta Freeman

Bell - picked up in all my leagues, so likely not an option at this time for most of you.

David Johnson-Texans

Marlon Mack-indy

Ty Johnson-Jets

James White

It's possible that their starter might be available in some leagues as well.

(Mark Ingram II)

I was about to post the correction to add him.

You think hes gonna start?

either way.... tough team.  RB's on a team some people are predicting may finish last is a tall order for fantasy numbers.  even if starting.

ok.

I looked around

FFtoday has Lindsay as the starter.

houstontexans.com has Ingram and Lindsay listed as starting RB's David Johnson as a second string

ESPN has Ingram as starter.

I know I saw one earlier that had David Johnson as starter, but now cant find it.

but most seem to like Ingram or Lindsay.   If its Ingram, the price is right.

ourlads also lists ingram as the starter.

I don't think I've seen anything in preseason or in the depth charts that would suggest otherwise.

The Texans' head coach, David Culley, was Baltimore's assistant head coach a couple of years ago when Ingram amassed 1,265 yards from scrimmage (26 receptions) and 15 TDs.

I guess he thinks there's still tread on the tires.

Yeah, I think Lindsay will function as the "co-starter"--but really more of the pass-catching, change of pace back--regardless of whether Ingram or Johnson "starts"--but right now, Ingram is the starter.  Ingram will get the early down and goalline work, with Johnson mixing in to provide relief.

that is a nice connection.  in theory if the system hasnt changed all that much, Ingram could learn that playbook really quick.  (which may be the reason he was brought in)

I meant if hes running the same or similar system as he did in Baltimore.

Most of these guys are available, and for good reason.

If you're having to rely on one of these guys too much, you're in trouble

true.

I personally am hoping to find an adequate backup as I'm thin at RB in one of my leagues.

but some here had starting RB's that have gone down to injury already.  they need help.   Moreso than I do.

The attrition rate might be higher this year shorter preseason and longer season.

also possible.

though I'd argue its likely about the same.

Your vets don't generally get a lot of exhibition action.

its the guys on the roster bubble who get most of the playing time.   so I doubt I'd buy that this affects the vets any more than normal.
