I like to get as many pieces as I can before I try to solve it because I'm also trying to solve it as fast as I can in as few guesses as I can. For me the ratio of 3s-to-5s and 2s-to-6s is important, I try to keep them better than 2:1, and I was until those 6s lately screwed me up. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Wouldn't your odds of solving it quicker be improved if you used words that kept your greens in place and moved your yellows to different spots. Rather than abandoning the letters you've already revealed? I mean, I can't do that. Once I've revealed a correct letter, I have to use it in subsequent guesses because of the difficulty level I'm playing. But it just makes sense to do that in general imo.
