It feels like the weekends are getting shorter. Cheap entertainment for me this weekend, big rugby tournament at the park near my house. Went with my friend from South Africa and watched that while he explained some of what was going on. That's a crazy game.  That was my big to-do this weekend.

On this day in 1912 US government prohibits movies and photos of prize fights (censorship) - CANCEL CULTURE!

I agree. Sitting on the train this morning and thought the same thing. Where did the weekend go ? Yeah I worked later Friday so I had no Friday night but still.

I had to pick up the boat and tow it to my buddies house on Saturday. For the last year I have been paying the marina fees with the condition that I could use the boat when I want.

When I told my daughter, she responded "when are you buying a new boat?" The important part is my wife overheard the question.

Sunday afternoon we went to the beach and it was a zoo. Once school starts back up Sunday afternoons will be less crowded.

This past weekend culminated my birfday week!  Went to DBacks on Wed, Cards training camp Thurs, Oppenheimer Fri, DBacks again Saturday to get this silly giveaway:

 

"Haboob" is another word for dust storm, probably invented by a 14 year old boy who liked saying boob.  If you shake it the "snow" is sand color.

Yesterday the fun ended:  we rented a truck to move my daughter into our house for a few weeks until she moves to NYC in a few weeks.  Still finishing some stuff up today.  Her cat and our cat haven't gotten along in the past, although it was at my daughter's place (her cat's turf) and he was the mean one.  Hopefully it goes smoother at our (larger) place.  Oh, and it's that daughter's birthday today, so we'll have a nice dinner tonight and get the fam together again this weekend.
