TommyGavin 790 Posted August 24, 2023 When we were 14 or 15 three of us buddies would get a case (24 bottles at the time) of Schafer for $9.00. Hard cardboard box had $1.50 deposit. We always returned it - this was before deposit on the actual bottles. We hung out in a vacant creek that looked like a jungle - we named it Viet Nam. 8 beers each for $3.00 each. Not bad.
