seafoam1 3,025 Posted March 18, 2024 I retired from my job as a consultant at Accenture back in September of 2023. I want to do some work but I don't need to. I want to be active and social, so I thought post office. I've read stories about city route assistants that they start out working 40 and then they get hit with 70 hour work weeks. So I looked at rural carriers. They promise you 1 day a week but you fill in for days off for the regular carrier. I passed the 4 main tests back in December and have been offered some city routes as a job but I turned them down and just applied for a couple rural routes over the past couple days that I think I would take. They are some weird tests. All basically USPS personality tests plus some other shlt that I read up on prior to taking. Assessment Date Taken Duration End Date Re-test Eligibility Date Score 474 12/08/2023 12/07/2025 12/07/2025 84.00 475 12/10/2023 12/09/2025 12/09/2025 92.00 476 12/10/2023 12/09/2025 12/09/2025 89.00 477 12/05/2023 12/04/2025 12/04/2025 82.00 Anyone work a rural route? I guess they don't walk as much as city but I currently walk about 6 miles a day anyway to get some fresh air.
