They knew it was much worse than a seatbelt. There was probably an active warrant associated with that car or a previous arrest that came up in the computer. Stop the BS, they knew it wasn't just a seatbelt. And they were right. He was obviously hiding something.

Don't be so gullible

It's a liberal tactic to put blame on people they don't like. Hopefully liberals finish the job in Portland and Minneapolis and NYC and Seattle and LA and Chicago this time around. It would be nice to be rid of them.

Get it now? It wasn't just "a seatbelt". He had an active warrant. These BS Fake News Stories are the kind of stories that get officers killed.

"Prosecutors charged him with aggravated unlawful use of a firearm the next day. Later, a grand jury returned a true bill charging him with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, including possessing a firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a firearm with a revoked Firearm Owner’s ID card, court records show. On Thursday evening, CPD officers stopped a vehicle in the 3800 block of West Ferdinand. Reed was inside the SUV. “While officers were at the vehicle, an exchange of gunfire occurred, and one (1) officer sustained a gunshot wound to the left wrist,” CPD said in a media statement. “The offender sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The injured officer was transported to a nearby hospital in good condition.” Investigators found a firearm at the scene, according to the police statement".

“Dexter was pulled over for failing to wear his seat belt. Now this leaves many, many questions,” attorney Steven Hart said. “Why were tactical officers jumping out of an unmarked police car with their guns drawn for a simple traffic violation of not wearing a seatbelt?

If this did indeed happen like that, this is the first question I need answered. Also, not wearing a seatbelt has no business being a primary offense. That means a cop can pull you over for suspicion of not wearing a seatbelt.
