Except for that 1964 speech which launched him to two terms as governor of your state, then two terms as president.

In case you want to watch it.

It's weird that you think calling me an Eeyore for pointing out how you've abandoned your journalism principles is some kind of win for you.  But you do you.

Oh, so just because Harris hasn't attended an unscripted news conference with MSMs you categorize as lemming pleasers somehow derails my journalism principles.

My journalistic principles include dimissing the infotainment sources  that tell MAGAturds such as you that this is a YUGE issue.

But if you're all about journalist principles, why do you support a candidate that labels news outlets as "fake news" every time he gets his Depends in a wad?

But I do love it when you contradict yourself.

You are not allowed to dislike a candidate without tim telling you that it's Foxnews' fault. This is what the left has become.

Apparently, seeing things with your own eyes and drawing different conclusion is a foreign concept for people who aren't allowed to do that.

Oh you didn’t have to preach to me about that speech. I love that speech, except for the fact that he predicts Medicare will lead to communism in the near future. That was dumb. But I still love the speech for its general defense of capitalism. I’ve been to the Reagan library several times and watched it.

But- I was not offering you my own opinion of Reagan in the previous post. I was offering the opinion of liberals and the general public prior to 1980. Liberals believed, wrongly,  he was an idiot (many if not most still do.) They completely ignored speeches like the one in 1964 and concentrated on his platitudes in 1976 and 1980 and his b acting career and concluded the guy was a dunce. The general public had no opinion on his smarts but didn’t like him much outside of California conservatives, because he was regarded as angry. Don’t forget that his claim to fame prior to 1976 was harsh measures against the hippies at UC Berkeley and Haight-Asbury, which was popular in the 60s but not so much 10 years later. If Reagan had won the nomination in 1976 he would have lost to Jimmy Carter far worse than Ford did; even Reagan himself acknowledges this. It wasn’t until 1980 that the Gipper changed his persona, and here is where the analogy to Kamala comes in. Like Kamala, (but unlike Obama) Reagan went through a transformation from grumpy old anti-Communist to centrist optimist for the future. Likewise, Kamala has gone through a transformation from angry leftist progressive to centrist optimist for the future. In neither case was the transformation manufactured. There has to be a genuine nature to it or it just won’t work.
I am NOT saying that Kamala is Reagan or that she will be anywhere near as impactful. Time will tell. All I am saying for now is that their campaigns for President are remarkably similar from opposite directions.

Good point.

I think over the past year or two, up until like a month ago, I haven't listened to Fox news or CNN or anything political other than occasionally a few minutes weekly to catch up on current events in the news. But these guys are so used to being glued to their liberal channels they just think everyone does what they do.

Well put. While Trump and his campaign wallows in negativity, Harris-Walz comes busting out of the chute full of hope, joy and optimism, other than the funny digs on Trump.

If only she'd done or said anything to be hopeful, joyous or optimistic about. Ever.  :(
