Nomad99 755 Posted September 4, 2024 I found this on the Boston 25 App : Joey Chestnut beats Takeru Kobayashi; breaks world record https://www.boston25news.com/news/trending/joey-chestnut-beats-takeru-kobayashi-breaks-world-record/PGLIHTRPDFCWHEWLRSMJ4N55AA
Engorgeous George 2,331 Posted September 4, 2024 Joey Chestnut is dead to me. His refusal to defend the Mustard Belt this year because he made a deal with Impossible Foods, a meat substitute company, is unforgivable. If he wants to support the eating of soydogs and soy burgers that is on him. He can wash them down with Bud Light and have Dylan Mulvaney cheer him on wearing a cheerleader outfit. He's dead to you by using capitalism to make money off of his name. The shame...the shame. Also, I've tried some of the "Impossible" foods and if they can scale and get the price point down, I'd probably use them as a substitute for a large portion of the meat I consume. He could have endorsed Usinger, Johnsonville, Nathan's, hell even Oscar Meyer. I don't begrudge him getting paid, I begrudge him going gay, and proud of it. He could have slurped a dong at Bratwurst Days in Sheboygan and I would have been less offended. Does the purity and sanctity of the last true sporting event mean nothing to him?
