It was 1981, and some buddies and I had tickets to Judas Priest.

There was some group I'd never heard of as the opening act.

That act was Iron Maiden, with Paul Di'Anno as the singer.

While my buddies were focused on drinking and smoking weed, I paid attention and realized the greatness of this band.

I thought they blew Judas Priest off the stage.
