Journeyman Exclusives

Recommended Posts

Who are your exclusives who have moved around the most, but always had the courtesy not to sign with another Homers team?  For me it's Austin Wynns:

Giants
Dodgers
Rockies
Reds

Guy has never been good, but teams seem to like something about him as a backup catcher.

Can anyone beat four? 🤔

Just a couple three team (not counting Detroit) guys currently (Castellanos, Candelario).

I have a couple 4 team guys:

Kike Hernandez is not only a journeyman (HOU, MIA, LAD and BOS) but he also has eligibility at 1B, 2B, 3B, SS and OF.

The bigger name for me is Kyle Schwarber (CHC, WAS, BOS and PHI).

I had a 5 other (6 including TORL with Brett Anderson back before 2021 but then he wouldn't have been exclusive then with Ted until the last year or 2. OAK, COL. LAD, CHC, TOR, MIL.

Couple 3 teamers current

Rowdy Tellez TOR MIL PIT SEA

Ross Stripling LAD TOR SFG OAK

Josh Palacios TOR WAS PIT CWS

Loyal dudes.   Under my system they would actually be 3-teamers because you don't count your own Homers team.

I have a 3-teamer in Nestor Cortes (Yankees, Mariners, Brewers) and Trey Mancini (Astros, Cubs) would be one if he can make it to the majors with Arizona.

Wow. :shocking:  Historical guys do count as long as they were exclusive to you during that year's league configuration.

Re-learning all these with my spreadsheet back at work.
Yimi Garcia wasn't always but is now again with LAD til 2019 (ted) and Wile with HOU) then so 2 other teams over all history but 4 others now
LAD MIA HOU TOR SEA TOR(again)

Kendall Graveman when he plays again has 5 now but HOU was around with Wile so wasn't always.
TOR, -> OAK, SEA, HOU, CWS, ARZ

Doubtful with anyone currently.

The first that comes to mind is Alex Colome who was a solid reliever for me for a while but is no longer in the league. He was a solid saves and holds guy with SEA, CWS, MIN and COL although he was mainly toast by his Colorado days.

Jake McGee also.. COL, LAD, SF, MIL, WSH although MIL and WSH were both just a few games in his final year in 2022.  He did have 31 saves in 2021 with SF though.

Right now I tend to have a lot of guys who have played with a bunch of unowned teams but then 1 pesky owned squad... Like Stanek was MIA, HOU, SEA before joining the Mets.  Emilio Pagan has played for SEA, OAK, MIN, CIN but also San Diego

And the great Fernando Rodney who before San Diego and Detroit were owned was always between me and the Angels and in his career played for  DET, LAA, TB, SEA, CHC, SD, ARI, MIN, OAK and WSH. His last yeah was 2019 which was before RHR joined with the Padres I think? and before ZT went back to Detroit... so that was 9 other teams Rodney played for and just 1 pesky LAA from being exclusive.

Dude took exception to that comment.

Quote

Austin Wynns went 6-for-7 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs scored in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

I realized I was only naming relief pitchers, which kind of makes sense. I think they are most likely to bounce around.  Then I did remember Steven Vogt who after playing 18 games for tampa had stops in Oakland, Milwaukee, San Fran and Arizona   before Atlanta in 2021.  He had some pretty solid exclusive years for me until 2020
