2025 N.O Jazz & Heritage Festival

Recommended Posts

Going Saturday with my Lady. She’s never seen Pearl Jam and it’s her second favorite band behind The Beatles. They’re at the main stage and is Cowboy Mouth earlier in the day. Then in between heading to the Blues Tent to see Joe Known Trio +1 featuring Papa Mali.

And in between all of that, incredible food. Crawfish enchiladas, soft shell crab poo-boy, stuffed artichoke bread, and a fawking must,  crawfish pies.

Spirits. Mint Julius tea with the rodka I sneak in and of course, beers at the Kewrs Light tent. Look at me.

And da wemens scantly clad in their summer wear. I wear my darker sun glasses so I don’t get busted. A fawking great place to people watch. A  must.

It should be on music and cultural bucket list for those who love both.

What year and did you get to see. I’ve gone every year since I was seven at least one day until  COVID hit. I’m going for the first time since.

2012 and 2013.

Such a great atmosphere, and the food is so awesome.

One night we went to Rock 'n' Bowl and saw Tab Benoit, Sonny Landreth and some other guitarist. Great venue to see music.

Who’d you check out. Any big artist? That helps me to remember who was there during those years. Tom Petty? I think the Eagles also but I skipped them. I’m to lazy to lazy and buzzed to search tonight. Petty was incredible. I know Ql Green was there that year. Al was a must see. 2013, ughhh,  Willie Nelson maybe. And Earth Wind & Fire was that year? I know Im forgetting two of the biggest, but can’t remember who tonight. Got a handy under the blanket watching Willy. The song, On The Road again. Which I told me ex, “ On the bone again! Good night times.

I used to go every day for something like 12-15 years. Seriously. I do enjoy it, I love the small stages & food, it’s a fest within a fest. But now it’s so damn expensive & they just jam in the crowds. But every so often I go & love it. Anyway have a blast!

Actually, it was 2012 and 2014. Saw Springsteen both times. Fogerty played the second stage in 2014 and killed it. There was some trumper player in the jazz tent who was awesome. Can't remember his name. The Beach Boys played in 2012, but we didn't stay long for that. I just wanted to say I'd seen them.
