HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A man was lodged in jail after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at a Department of Homeland Security building in Grand Island.

According to a federal criminal complaint, federal employees of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement had left the DHS building at 703 S. Webb Road after work at 11 a.m. on June 8. When employees returned to work on June 9, they saw the words “KILL ICE” spray painted on the window.

According to court records, camera video of the incident showed a car arriving and someone throwing something toward the building. The complaint said investigators believe the item was thrown at the same time the message was spray painted.

On June 14, Grand Island Police Department Officers noticed an individual wearing dark clothing running along the fence south of 703 S. Webb Rd. GIPD officers, aware of the previous vandalism, investigated the area and found several government vehicles located behind the DHS building with slashed tires. No suspects were found in the area.

Officers reviewed a License Plate Readers in the area and a Buick Lucerne had been in the area on June 14. Video of the area on June 8 and June 9 also showed the same vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Eulisis Martin.

Martin was arrested on Monday, according to Hall County Jail records.

What 20 year old drives a Buick Lucerne?

Back when my first car's transmission all but blew up on a Maryland highway, my parents gave me an old car they didn't need anymore. I was appreciative at the time.

I didn't go try to burn down buildings though. I was never a liberal. :dunno:
