Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted August 27 Everyone keeps missing the mark on DK Metcalf, which is wild because a 6’4”, 230-pound wideout who runs a 4.33 forty isn’t exactly easy to overlook. Critics say he’s “just a deep threat” or that he “drops passes,” but that’s like saying Steph Curry “just shoots threes”—it’s the thing defenses still can’t stop. Metcalf is a cheat code: press him and get bulldozed, play off and watch him eat yards, or just pray. And now with Aaron Rodgers in the picture—a quarterback who can put the ball anywhere, anytime—DK’s about to unlock a whole new level. Give Rodgers a weapon built in a Marvel lab, and watch everyone who doubted Metcalf scramble to act like they saw it coming. If you have an opportunity in the middle round....Grab DK and of course, tank me later.

WhiteWonder 2,845 Posted August 27 I can see a big year from DK. He's not the most polished route runner and Rodgers doesn't exactly like that, but he also doesn't exactly have any real competition for targets. For FF purposes though, you'll need to grab him in round 4, most likely, so I don't think you can wait until the middle rounds. Maybe top of Rd. 5
nobody 2,746 Posted August 27 When I think of DK, part of me has visions of Jordy Nelson catching 60 yard posts and catching bombs off of Rodgers hard count free plays, and another part has visions of rodgers giving DK that "what the fock are you doing" glare and deciding he doesn't trust him. ADP seems about right, but I'm not that into high variance players which I think DK will be. I'd rather have a guy that scores 12, 12, and 12 over three weeks than a guy that scores 6, 24, 6. Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted August 27 DK was feasting early last year before he injured his knee. Dude is only 27 years old and there is no one else to throw the ball to. Arthur Smith did say he will not ask his star players to fit the scheme but will design the scheme to fit the players strength.
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted August 27 Barring injuries, he will finish in the top 5. 1400 yards and 13 TDs.
