Trump says government shutdown ends when Democrats give in: "If they don't vote, that's their problem"

Recommended Posts

President Trump slammed Democrats as "crazed lunatics" who have "lost their way," blaming them for a government shutdown poised to become the longest in history with no deal in sight. But he offered no immediate plan to address health care costs, a sticking point for Democrats who want Republicans to agree to extend government subsidies for the more than 20 million Americans with Obamacare.

Don should just agree to continue the health insurance subsidies. His fault.

Donald Trump doesn’t care about you. If your health insurance costs 5K per month, what does he care? He goes to Walter Reed. That’s all he cares about.

Hey folks - anyone know what would happen in the last 236 years if a bill couldn’t get the votes to pass in the Senate just once?

Every time, thousands of times. Guess if you don’t know.

Fetterman: Democrats ‘own’ shutdown amid SNAP funding fight

Just an idea - maybe the Senator & his staff could call some House members & get to work writing a bill that - just hear me out here - could both pass the House *and get enough votes in the Senate. This could be done by (outside the box thinking here) negotiating changes to the text.

(Fun fact, Fetterman has had mass staff departures, reportedly partly because he won’t do actual work).

He also doesn’t want the government to “open”. He’s in charge now, in his opinion. Rubes think that’s a good thing.

I think this is the correct answer. And frankly I think America may need to prepare fort he idea Congress will not come back.

Sure, normally. But the president also has to agree to sign it. So he just has Johnson handle it this way. That’s what a coward wanna-be dictator does. It’s fine for the politicians. Their health insurance is fully paid for by taxpayers.

The truth is that Americans were dumb enough to think Trump and the MAGA politicians cared at all about their health insurance costs, or their cost of living at all. This was all out there. Trannies and immigrants were more important to demonize.

“Inflation though!” Yeah how’s that going.
