OB1 33 Posted December 2, 2003 Ok, as you may or may not know, since we are using Yahoo we are basically married to their playoff system. Only he top 4 teams make the playoffs. 1 vs. 4; 2 vs. 3. Any tiebreakers will be settled by points and then i belive H2H, but again, that is all done on site and I have no way to change what Yahoo does. The playoffs start in week 15, so there is one more regular season game, Two teams have clinched playoff spots: Ditka and OB1 ; and 3 teams are still alive for the final 2 spots: Here are the current standings: **I'm only listing teams with a shot at the playoffs here** 1* Bratwurst of Justice 10-3-0 .769 1284.00 L-1 2* Sexually Drawn2 Fire 9-4-0 .692 1260.00 L-2 3 Doggy Doo 8-4-1 .654 1281.00 W-2 4 Windycity Rynos 8-4-1 .654 1199.00 W-2 5 The Meshugene Mohels 7-5-1 .577 1354.00 W-2 Here are the important games this week: Oaktown Crack *****s v. The Meshugene Mohels Jews For Jesus v. Doggy Doo Windycity Rynos v. Mookieu Akbar Both Doggy Doo and Windy simply need to win and they are in. Should one of them lose however, the Meshugene Mohels would likely win the tiebreaker based on their current points should they win in week 14. Good luck guys, i'll see one of you in week 15! **Also, FA transactions will be allowed this week, but the trading deadline is long past.**

When the commish creates the league, in the league settings, Yahoo gives a few choices as to playoff systems. One is a 4-team playoff scenario, the other is an 8-team playoff scenario. See here. Public leagues are wedded to the 4-team system; however, this is a private league, so there was a choice. Just an FYI for next year, if the league continues at Yahoo. Addendum: I have a shot to knock Doggy Doo out of the playoffs.

TB used the 4 team setup last year, so I guess that would have been my thinking.

Dalem 0 Posted December 9, 2003 I waited all year to use Michael Vick. At least I used him to kick one team out of the playoffs, since my own hopes were long dashed.
