  1. There’s where we disagree. I believe that they do want to reshape our society to fit their Marxist viewpoints. I don’t want to try to split hairs but to me if they have views shared by Marxists, then those are in fact Marxist views. I don’t see any way around it. To further my point, there will always be a next crisis or oppressed group that has been aggrieved. No, not all of the protestors are as radical as the leadership, but they have fallen in line with them all the same just as happened back in 2020. It really doesn’t matter the cause, like you said earlier they see people as oppressed often distinguishing those classes based on race and want the government to fix that perceived injustice. If that’s not wanting to change society, I’m not sure how else to define it.
  2. I’m not sure how you square that with your earlier statement about them seeing this as oppressors and oppressed along with the racial lens. That seems to be the logic they are using.
  3. I don't think that addresses the hold Marxism has on many of our young people today here in America. That's my bigger concern. While the Israeli/Gaza conflict and the history of the region is certainly thorny, that situation and the history in that region is not why we have Marxists today here in our country. It is merely their reason/excuse for being out in the protests today.
  4. I totally agree with this and see this as a huge problem and the root cause. We have a group who sees things through a Marxist lens. It's the greatest threat to our society today.
  5. I agree wholeheartedly with the Marxist component. That is the root cause of all this. There will always be the next event to be outraged and present the oppressed to be outraged over and cause turmoil in our society. They are just waiting on those opportunities. Ultimately they care much less about the oppressed and more about tearing down our country and system as we know it.
  6. Not ignored, those are the ones I mentioned where we just disagree. They are also the ones I openly wonder why this one atrocity is worth throwing in their lot with the Marxists and anti-Semites when either of us could name other instances where thousands of civilians have been killed, often which aren't in response to someone's population being massacred. I've tried to find clips where the majority of the protestors are these kinds of people. Honestly I'm looking for some without masks because they are outside and the pandemic is over. Someone wearing a mask now either is wanting to hide from some act they are doing or are about to do, or has some kind of mental defect. So yes I'm judging people's mental state based on that. We probably disagree there too, but short of the rare immune issue in a person who simply can't afford to risk it, nobody should be outside in masks right now. But should we find large groups who are unmasked and not chanting those slogans, yes that probably would represent the people you reference and I wonder about what about this particular instance got them out there where others did not (i.e. Assad). From what I'm seeing that does not appear to be the majority. I actually feel more of them fall into the category of the girl at NYU yesterday who honestly wasn't sure what she was protesting and wishing to be more educated. She seemed to just have fallen in line with the social media groups she was following.
  7. Quite a number of the people out there are Marxists. There's overlap within each group, some are more than one of these, some are all of them. But out there right now we have anti-Semites, Marxists, anarchists, and kids who often can't explain what they are out there for and just get all their info off Tik-Tok. The first three should be dealt with harshly, the last we somehow need to educate and de-program. I'd say the group you think makes the majority of them falls into that last one. For some reason this group is super concerned about the Palestinians but yet never have been about other atrocities in the world. From video clips I've seen they often appear to be dismissive of the slaughter and rape of Israeli citizens. That's certainly not all and in that group I'm sure there are well meaning people who are educated on the issue, maybe they just feel differently about this situation than I do. That's totally fine. But when you associate with the groups previously mentioned, and you impede and encroach on the rights of others, then it becomes a problem that needs fixing. To be clear though, some you'd likely put in this group I'd consider Marxists now because they openly see this as an oppressed vs oppressor situation. But maybe you can help me understand why these people all wearing Covid masks outside. I mean is it some new outbreak? Are they either trying to hide their identity because perhaps their acts aren't something they want to be associated with? Perhaps they are just mentally ill?
  8. Sure, he said his credentials would be revoked if he did so. There are people on camera calling for death to Jews, a masked (of course) girl holding a sign saying "al-Qassem's next targets". Now forgive me the liberty of correcting the spelling there, but she misspelled it on her sign. I know it's shocking given her apparent level of intelligence. But since that's the military wing of Hamas, it's pretty clear that's calling for an execution of someone, the same as saying lynch someone. If these people are arrested and/or expelled then I'll stand corrected. His point is that is not happening in this case and it would be happening if this were some other group being threatened by students and/or employees of these universities.
  9. You heard what you wanted to hear if you heard it that way.
  10. I try not to say it. It sometimes come out when talking about my college team where I actually went to college. The only time I ever feel entitled to say it is when talking about my old high school baseball program where I played or my daughters team where she currently is.
  11. Funny how the tables have turned. I'm going to need an updated scorecard. It's probably only 48 hours away from being blamed on Trump somehow.
