gold_finger 0 Posted September 25, 2006 10 team yahoo league, start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 TE, 1K, 1DEF QB: Carson Palmer Drew Brees WR: Torry Holt Javon Walker Hines Ward Antonio Bryant Laveranues Coles Marques Colston (WR/TE) TE: LJ Smith RB: Ronnie Brown Steven Jackson Frank Gore Chester Taylor K: David Akers DEF: Jacksonville After losing this week by 20 points, I fell back into the middle of my league. Any trade or FA pickups peopel think would help with the team since I think something is missing. RBs have been disappointing also. Will answer yours with link. EDIT: Anyone know which player I should drop for a kicker this week? I got into another transaction and now I don't have a kicker for the week so any advice would be appreciated. MahSoonerz 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Wait a minute, you have Palmer, Holt and Walker and you *lost* this week? Tough one. Keep the faith. There will be weeks like this. You have a solid team and it will rebound.
jjoel 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Is this an 8-person league or something? I wouldn't do anything drastic yet if this is a 12-man league. Some waiver wire pickups that may be out there - Maurice Morris - Shaun Alexander's backup; Maurice Jones-Drew- had a huge day this week. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=237455

Melvinbet 5 Posted September 26, 2006 Your team rocks! Don't change anything. Just one of those days, it happens. Those RB's will produce, just hang in there. See mine please
gold_finger 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Since I don't have an open roster spot anymore, does anyone know who I should drop for a kicker? Thanks.
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Wow this is tough .. dropping someone from this list for a kicker .. If I have to do it, it would be Brees or JAG. It seems you are in a league with not too many teams. I guess the two I mentioned is least likely to be scoop up. Thanks for helping with mine
DaBears34 0 Posted September 30, 2006 I'm in similar situation also in a 10 team league. I started 0-2 and started to panic, but I really like my team. I also had scored the 2nd most points in my league and finally got a W in week 3. I haven't made any drastic moves, and I don't think you should either. Dropping someone for a K is tough, looks like you have to drop a WR because you are deep there unless you are comfortable with only 1 QB on your roster, which I never am. throttlers 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Nice team. I'd drop Brees or Bryant for a K. 1 thing I might try is a 2 for 1 for Alexander while he is down. I'd look to package 1 of your RB's with 1 of your WR's (except Holt) for Alexander. That would give you an open spot for a K also. I'd probably offer something like Gore and Walker. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=239083
rdh17 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Don't panic cause this team looks real good. As for a player to drop go with a WR. I love Colston and play him at TE, but I would drop him for your kicker cause your so deep at WR.
king41 0 Posted September 30, 2006 How the hell did you lose last week??!!!!! Tought break man...Sit tight...You WILL BLOW UP..Don't make any changes. Here's mine... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=239198
gold_finger 0 Posted September 30, 2006 I was thinking of playing Colston at TE and dropping LJ Smith. But I like Colston's versatility as a WR/TE since he can play both and he can cover for me if I trade any more WRs in the future. The guy with Alexander in my league is pretty deep at RB so he'll probably try and wait out Alexander's injury and I'm still not sold if Alexander iwill have the same type of season he did last year. TE will probably be the most expandable position so I'm debating whether to drop Colston or Smith. I also managed to get Lamont Jordan so now I have 5 RBs, so I'm wondering if I should trade Frank Gore since I think he's injury prone and might lose those goaline touches and Jordan's schedule gets easier and his oline cant get any worse. wggierhart 0 Posted September 30, 2006 You need to make a package trade that includes a kicker. You don't want to drop any of your players for a kicker.
tampa_fan_01 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Your team is fine. See mine in my sig. We both are in good shape, some guys just have started slowly for us. THey will rebound, and you will be fine IMO. If you want to move anyone, I'd say move gore, as he is very unpredictable.

dd2005 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Yeah don't walk the plank just yet - only 3 games so far - plenty of time for your great looking team to tun it around.
enjoi525 0 Posted October 1, 2006 you have a good team. don't go trading off your studs just yet, they will do their job.
PythonPatrol 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Yeah don't walk the plank just yet - only 3 games so far - plenty of time for your great looking team to tun it around. Yeah hang in there, I'm 1-2 so far but has scored the 3rd most points. Good luck this week!
juanboy 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Yeah hang in there, I'm 1-2 so far but has scored the 3rd most points. Good luck this week! Don't drop any RBs, that's for sure. I'd probably drop Bryant or Colston--tough call, though. Your team looks pretty damn good to me. Thanks for mine.
