AlexPatt 0 Posted October 18, 2006 The only reason I would consider this is because I have a lot of RB depth and can afford to sit on him a couple weeks until he heals up. My RBs are: SJax Ronnie Brown Gore Tatum Bell
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 18, 2006 based on depth alone i wouldnt do it. he wont be much better than the guys youve got when he returns, unless you start 4 RBs.
jazzkatt 0 Posted October 18, 2006 i disagree, i think hell be better that gore and bell. i'd pull the trigger. start him with brown and reap the bennies down the road please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245355
Keyser Sose 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I would do the deal. Having SA will be more productive than having Sjax during the last 5-6 weeks of the season, imo, when champions are made. I love Sjax (i have him too) but the Rams offense spreads it thin w/ holt/bruce/jax whereas holmgren goes to Alexander all the time in the red zone. thanks for mine. darkjedi 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Yes. Get SA and don't look back. He's great. I think he's going to explode in the second half of the season. Please see mine
Ray_T 753 Posted October 18, 2006 well, SA is going to be out at least 2 more weeks. I think it's a good deal if SA is healthy. here is how I see it.... You have 2 options: 1) if you are at risk of missing the playoffs, I'd hold off. Best option would probably be to 'think about the offer' until monday, so you get an extra week with your current RB. then pull the trigger. (this is the best option if you think you can get away with it) 2) If you are more or less a cakewalk to make the playoffs already, and can afford to take a minor hit the next week or two, then do the deal now. However, it is worth noting that if you are struggling for a playoff position, I'd be careful about doing this deal, cuz what if SA gets to sit another week or two more due to the injury. I know it's unlikely, but it's happened once already.... so why not twice? you cant afford to lose production if you're fighting for your playoff life. (especially if you are on the outside looking in) In this case I'd take my chances with Option #1 and hope he doesnt pull the deal off the table.
