jeffkomlo 19 Posted November 22, 2006 Have QB Palmer RB K. Jones C. Taylor Jacobs Maroney WR Colston A. Johnson Can keep 4 and am 9-2 in league, thinking about next year. Like Rudi over Jones for next year. Trade K. Jones and Jacobs for Rudi, or giving too much?
rdub15 0 Posted November 22, 2006 i'd keep Jones, he's young and been pretty good this year. you'd be giving up too much for Rudi who's good but just not much of an upgrade from KJ if any.
yojimbo81 0 Posted November 22, 2006 I would keep Colston, Andre Johnson, Maroney, and Jacobs. I'm a Lions fan and like KJ but he gets injured too much. I think Maroney and Jacobs could have big years next season.
nos23 1 Posted November 22, 2006 colston, johnson, marroney, jacobs
Wayne Fontes 0 Posted November 22, 2006 i'd keep all 4 rb's. wr's and qb's can be had later.....see colston
Gelucy44 0 Posted November 22, 2006 I think Jacobs is gonna be a monster, but I would do that trade. KJ isnt running behind a real good line, So I think that because Rudi has a better team around him he will put up bigger #s in the future. Also Marney is gonna be REALLY good for the partiots in years to come. Then I keep Colston and Taylor. So you have Rudi Maroney Colston and Taylor.
tbone2370 0 Posted November 22, 2006 Depends on the starting roster...I wouldn't trade for Rudi, KJ has more upside in a keeper league because he is younger than Rudi. I like Jacobs for next year a lot!
quentinfox 0 Posted November 22, 2006 I don't think I'd do it. Perry is waiting in the wings. You've got some strong keepers in Maroney and Jacobs on the RB side. Please see mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=255423
Lee1974 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I wouldn't make that trade. Both KJ and Jacobs will be SOLID next year. I'm big on Rudi, but the Cincy homers always rave about Perry getting his opportunity. Stand pat. Thanks for mine.
prostollo 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I would not make the trade. I would also keep all 4 RBs next year
bunnerjk 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I wouldn't do it either. Jacobs has a good chance at starting next season!!!!!
yostevo 0 Posted November 23, 2006 colston, johnson, marroney, jacobs What he said. These guys have long term value.
mrgymrat 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I'd keep Palmer, Maroney, Jacobs, Colston Not sure if trading for Rudi would be any better than Maroney & Jacobs... you could try to trade KJ, AJ and others but Maroney will take over for Dillon and you know Tiki is done after this year. Jacobs will be HUGE next year. Palmer should be alot better next year and Colston is top 3 WR next year. --- Thx for answering mine
ECS 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I would not make that trade, I belive taylor will end up becoming a stud in FF and B. Jacobs could be as well, rudi will continue to be good, but not worth 2 backs thanks for mine
jared7683 0 Posted November 23, 2006 with tiki gone next year, jacobs is a must to keep... thanx for mine
seh2000 5 Posted November 23, 2006 I am a Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudi Fan and am not sold for Jacobs playing a full game...2 yards. fine - whole game of beating...the big guy will get knocked out. Get Rudi.
vwneogeovw 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I agree there are questions regarding Jacobs......but to give KJ who had flourished in the Martz system and a guy with potential long term value I just dont see pulling the trigger as being the best option. Maroney/KJ/Chester/Jacobs is a REAL solid RB stable. Now if you are intent on keeping Colston than I would have to say you just dont keep Jacobs and roll with Maroney/Chester/KJ/Colston. Rudi is older than KJ and is not on the field on 3rd downs. KJ is as good a RB as he is a receiver. I like KJ's potential future value over Rudi's.
Son of Squirrel 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I like Rudi but two for one back is too much. Keep the four backs as one of them can be packaged to upgrade a position next year. Thanks for mine
XXXI 0 Posted November 23, 2006 JONES/JACOBS/MARONEY/COLSTON. A GOOD COUPLE OF ROOKIES AND SOME YOUTH, ON SOME OFFENSIVE MINDED TEAMS. THANKS FOR MINE
slestack11 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I think you're giving up way too much because Tiki Barber is retiring this year. This means that Brandon Jacobs is a potential stud next year. To me, Kevin Jones and Rudi Johnson are comparable so I wouldn't give up a stud in the making in addition. Don't do the trade. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=255502
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted November 23, 2006 Have QB Palmer RB K. Jones C. Taylor Jacobs Maroney WR Colston A. Johnson Can keep 4 and am 9-2 in league, thinking about next year. Like Rudi over Jones for next year. Trade K. Jones and Jacobs for Rudi, or giving too much? I would not do the trade.. KJones will be "the" man in Detroit. Jacobs will have his chance to take over Tiki's role. Thanks for mine.

BigMilk 40 Posted November 23, 2006 I don't like Rudi. Next year will be his last in Cincy before they go in a different direction. KJ is turning the corner in a Mike Martz offense. Keep him.

-bp- 0 Posted November 23, 2006 I like Colston, Johnson, Jacobs and Maroney. I like the idea of getting Rudi, but I think you would be giving up a little too much with that trade.
Manifest Destiny 0 Posted November 24, 2006 i'd keep all 4 rb's. wr's and qb's can be had later.....see colston I agree with this statement, although Taylor isn't all that good, so I'd consider keeping Colson over Taylor. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=255757

gunnergip 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Have QB Palmer RB K. Jones C. Taylor Jacobs Maroney WR Colston A. Johnson Can keep 4 and am 9-2 in league, thinking about next year. Like Rudi over Jones for next year. Trade K. Jones and Jacobs for Rudi, or giving too much? Jacobs' upside is way too great to pass on and the cool thing is you already have him. I can see him being a top 15 back easily next year while Rudi always has the threat of losing a lot of carries to Perry. Rudi is a two down back a lot of the times and is getting older. With that said, I would keep Palmer, Colston, Jacobs and Maroney. While KJ has had a pretty solid year so far he is injured once again and that alone makes him able to pass on. Andre Johnson is nice as well, but I am sure you could get a similar WR in the draft or through a trade. If you can trade Jones and Johnson for a top shelf player or one that is better than the four I mentioned go for it. If not, I would say keep the four I listed and throw the other two back. Hope this helps. PS Trading KJ and Andre might net you a guy like Holt or Alexander in return. I have got to imagine that Shaun's sell value is lower than usual right now.
