WSIS this week

Recommended Posts

I have one open spot I need to fill between these 3 guys:

Portis vs Pats

Lewis (if he plays) vs Rams

Ward vs Bengals

We can play either 1RB/3WR set or the traditional 2RB/2WR.

Here's my lineup so far:

McNabb

Addai

Holt

Coles

H. Miller

Akers

Packers

Don't forget to leave a link and I'll get your question.

Lewis (if he plays, which is a BIG if) would be a good start. I disagree on NE being a tough run D, from what i've seen RBs have had some pretty good games against the Pats. Not sure why that is because their defense as a whole is good. But Lewis is the best bet

thanks for mine

I would go with the WARD as Ben look often to ward last sun. night, and the bengals def is a JOKE. I think Ward will have a big day against the bengals.

J. Lewis is hurt and dont know how they are going to use him in the game, and I just dont like portis.

Portis. He finds a way to score, and he's been getting decent, if not clear starter touches. Ward and Lewis are both hurt.

All good points. Agree with above as Ward is your safest play here.

I'd say Ward. NE has a tough run defense - when they aren't blowing teams out. They give up a lot of run yards because they are constantly looking to not give up the big pass play when they are up by 3 TDs. So teams are able to run for 7-8 yards a try. From all reports the Skins vs. Pats game will be much closer than previous weeks - so I can see the Pats D really clamping down on the run. I don't think they are afraid of Jason Campbell and they will make him beat them...so they may target Portis to stop. Lewis is too risky - even though that would be a good matchup. How hurt is that foot of his and why aren't they very forthcoming about the injury? Even if he plays - he may be spelled a bit by Wright who is a good receiving RB. The Pitt Cincy game looks to be a shootout - I can see Ward doing well - even if he isn't up to full speed.

IF...and that's a HUGE IF Jamal Lewis starts and it appears that he'll be close to 100% then you've got to play him. If not, then you go with Ward for sure.

Please see mine

Ward is undoubtedly your SAFEST play. Played well last week (helping to quell supsicions of injury), and the Bengals are, well, the Bengals..

Portis is your highest upside. NE Run D isn't steller (though they aren't bad). And for some reason, it's always weeks like this when guys like Portis who have struggled against lesser teams and are a consensus 'bad play' seem to put in all star performances....

I'd stay away from Lewis, seriously. Not sure why everyone thinks he's just gonna bounce back. Thx for answering mine.
