DanXIII 8 Posted September 19, 2008 I get: RB Larry Johnson QB Philip Rivers He gets: RB Ryan Grant QB Matt Hasselbeck My QBs in this league are currently Hasselbeck and David Garrard. My other RBs are Adrian Peterson (Minn), Earnest Graham, Jamal Lewis, and I recently acquired Darren Sproles off waivers. I could really use the QB boost, but am I giving up too much for Rivers? TIA!
Bigunreal1 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I think it's worth a gamble. You have good depth at RB, even if LJ doesn't bounce back. Rivers looks like he's really coming into his own.
Dan 66 Posted September 19, 2008 It's worth it. You're basically giving up Ryan Grant for Phillip Rivers, which fits your needs. LJ is bonus if he comes around, though I doubt he will. It's worth it just to have a reliable, consistent QB, which you currently lack.
dumbassmax2001 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I agree with the rest....it's not a bad deal for you. Looks pretty fair. I would make the trade. Â Thanks for answering mine.
CornKobb 48 Posted September 19, 2008 I like the deal.....grant is dinged up right now and likely in a rbbc the rest of the year with brandon jackson and some dude named lumpkin dumpkin. Â You will get a better qb in rivers and stashed LJ back on your bench and see what happens....LJ is a real nice guy to fill in for bye weeks. Â i say go for it........thanks, cornkobb
coreyjp23 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I would not do it. LJ is a dead man walking. I do not see him getting any better. Once LT is healthy they will be running a lot more to. If you need a non-elite QB that still puts up good numbers look to get Kurt Warner or Aaron Rogers. Some teams probably have them as backups. Don't forget Hasselbeck is still going to be good once he gets Engram/Branch back and he should have a good week 3 against the Rams.
SteelersGoBraugh 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I'd say the trade looks pretty even. You don't really need LJ, so that fact that he sucks shouldn't matter too much. And if things miraculously change, then awesome Thanks for answering mine!

SteelMan7 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I dunno man , Hassleback may come around but then again where are his weapons ? I think LJ is done fantasy wise this year. KC is just horrible. Grant hasnt lit the world on fire this year but its a long season , plenty of time to get healthy and GB offense looks real good this year. If you didnt have AP as your #1 back I would say no , but since you do.....GO FOR IT. Rivers will be the better QB all year and the loss of Grant is not a huge deal considering you have AP and decent depth behind him.
Fearsome 22 Posted September 19, 2008 Thanks for mine...sorry for the late reply. Â This deal is a hammer. Getting Rivers is a great move. Your RBs are stacked and Grant, I feel, will be hobbled for the rest of the year, which is why I am shopping him. Do this deal with supreme confidence. Hasselbeck has seen better days and his offense is crap.
brandon.christenson 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Do the deal! Thanks for responding to mine.
Wallyworld 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Go for it. You need the QB help and still have solid RB. Grant's hammy is going to be an issue all year, I have a feeling since I drafted him in about 4 leagues. Â Â Check mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324921
dcg 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I'm not at all high on LJ, and think you're probably giving slightly more than you're getting, but it does fit your needs so I'd say go for it. Â Thanks for mine.
watt 0 Posted September 19, 2008 I'll say do the deal also... I think Rivers will help your squad.
Nanda 0 Posted September 20, 2008 I find myself agreeing with the majority. Since you don't "need" LJ, go for it. If he was a key part of your plan I would shy away. Â Help here? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324960
thePRO 78 Posted September 20, 2008 I like the deal!! Â Rivers > Hasselback for this season. Â And Grant and L.J are a toss up. Â Grant is injured right now, L.J isn't performing much but could come around. Â They're about even! Â So you get the better deal, by a little!
