We Tigers 71 Posted September 20, 2008 As I've mentioned in a few other threads, I'm feeling the heat on LT. If he still struggles on Monday, I'm going to start shopping him so I can get out of this hole--at 0-2, I can't really wait too much longer for him to heal. I have Brees at QB, Edwards/Welker/DeSean/Mason at WR, and LT/Graham/T. Jones/Morris/F. Jones/Hightower at RB. 10-team league, all TDs 6 points, .5 PPR. My outlook is that I'd want a very good and a starting WR in return for him. Looking at my league, a few reasonable combos I'd pursue: Parker/Boldin (2-0 owner) Lynch/Fitz, Addai/Fitz, Addai/Jennings (2-0 owner) Gore/Plax, Gore/Steve Smith (1-1 owner) Barber/Roy Williams (1-1 owner) Jacobs/Marshall, Chris Johnson/Marshall (2-0 owner) I think I know which of these packages I like best, but I'd like to get a few outside inputs as well. Could I swing any of these duos for an ailing LT, and which should I go after first? Leave your link and I'll return the favor.

I personally think LT will be very hard to shop. out of those options I like Barber/Williams and Gore/Plax.... even Lynch/Fitz
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Id' go Parker/Boldin because Mendenhall is not really in the picture and you know PIT is run first. Boldin is a monster. 2nd choice would be a play for anybody & Marshall as Cutler looks fantastic.
GlennG31 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I think the key here is your 0.5 PPR. This should help you narrow down the possible trades. In order of preference, I would go: 1. Barber / Williams 2. Addai / Fitz 3. Gore / Steve Smith 4. Johnson / Marshall But honestly, it'll be tough to swing a trade right now with LT. I'm sure everyone in your league is aware of his turf toe injury, so they may be wary of him right now. Of course, someone may still covet LT based on his name alone. But I understand your position. At 0-2, you really need to start winning now, so it wouldn't hurt to start throwing out those trades. Who knows? Someone might take it. Good luck, and thanks for the help with mine! Hurricane 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I think Addai/Jennings is your best bet. I'm doubting any of the other owners will want to give up what you've outlined. Good luck.
broncosfan24 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Thanks for mine. I honestly, trying not to be biased, say Johnson Marshall is the best bet. I see Marshall having at least 8-10 receptions a game, plus yards after catch, which is big. I also think Johnson will have a few receptions a game, plus what he does on the ground. Hope this helps. I think the best deal is Lynch/Fitz, but all are close. Parker/Boldin, Gore/Plax/Smith, Barbarian/Roy. Wow all of thse are good. I would say the Marshall packages are the lowest, but even those I would still take. best of luck
enricopulazzo 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I like these 3 deals in the following order: 1-Jacobs/Marshall, Chris Johnson/Marshall (2-0 owner) I like both RBs and Marshall is sick. Either way, you win. Both RBs split carries but they are clearly the #1 RBs on both their teams. 2-Gore/Plax, Gore/Steve Smith (1-1 owner) Gore is a monster. Plax seems healthier than ever. And SSmith should be up to his usual tricks starting this week. 3-Barber/Roy Williams (1-1 owner) Barbarian is another monster RB. As long as he stays healthy (he abuses himself a lot) he will produce a lot of TDs. Roy Williams is hit or miss week in week out but most WRs are like that. The other options, I don't like as much. Thanks for mine.
benmoke 0 Posted September 21, 2008 You will have to wait until after this week to propose a trade, but if LT doesn't play or has limited action your options will be limited. Assuming the worst, you will need to look towards an owner who has started off poorly as well. If the Gore/Plax..S.Smith team loses, thats who I would target. Who is your back-up QB? What is the second player you would include in the trade?
We Tigers 71 Posted September 21, 2008 Garrard's my backup. I don't plan to start him except on the Saints' bye week. As for a second player, I'd throw in a backup RB or okay receiver if really necessary. If I have to give up more than a Sammy Morris, Selvin Young (forgot to list him, but I've got him), or Derrick Mason, I probably wouldn't bother with the deal. Thanks for all the feedback, everybody. Obviously I'm hoping he looks better on Monday and I can just keep him, but we'll see.
vegemite 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I would take Marshall and Johnson first. But if he won't give up Johnson take Jacobs. Marshall will make his 140 prediction. He is going to be unbelievable. After that definitely go for Gore, he will docontinue to do good with Martz. Especially as the 9ers learn more Martz intricicies. skittles 0 Posted September 21, 2008 You may be overvaluing what you can get, but I'm sure it will vary greatly based on your league and the makeup of your owners, and their situations. But for discussion purposes, I got LT in the following deal, about 2 days ago, in my 12 team PPR: L. Tomlinson, D. Sproles, L. Maroney for L. Fitzgerald, Chris Johnson, J. Lewis I was very hesitant to give up Fitzgerald, but had to do it once we involved the handcuff and Maroney as well. He is a struggling 1-1 team, full of injuries, and I am 2-0 and the top scoring team in the league. Just to paint the situation. I personally turned down LT for Fitz/Johnson, so unless you find an owner more interested than I was (and with more wiggle room than I had, which is unlikely, as my team is stacked) then I'm not sure you can get a sweet package like you want. But I'm now a very happy LT owner. I really don't even need him this week as I play the worst team in the league. Can't wait for the playoffs though.

That is the most solid group of any of them. Not only is it solid, but it also delivers potential to do even more. Gore should only get better as the season goes. Barber and Roy would be second on my list. Good luck, thanks for answering mine!
