GlennG31 0 Posted September 20, 2008 12-team PPR league. My RB's are MJD, Thomas Jones, Michael Bush, and Brandon Jackson. My WR's are Reggie Wayne, Brandon Marshall, Dwayne Bowe, Derrick Mason, and DeSean Jackson. Here's the trade: I give MJD and DeSean Jackson. I get Chris Johnson and Marques Colston. I'm leaning on accepting the trade. My starting RB's would then be Johnson and Jones, and when he gets healthy, my starting WR's would be Wayne, Marshall, and Colston. I figure Johnson would be good all year in PPR, and my starting WR's at the end of the year would be awesome. Any thoughts? Thanks for any input, and I'll help you with yours! jeffkomlo 19 Posted September 21, 2008 Like the trade alot MJD O line is mess Desean has Curtis coming back Johnson will be stud and Colston will be back, you're deep enough at WR to wait on Colston DO IT!
We Tigers 71 Posted September 21, 2008 Good deal. You buy low on the injured Colston and still have Wayne, Bowe, and Marshall to hold you over till he gets back. Plus, you're switching MJD for Johnson, which I think is just straight-up favorable to you. It's actually a pretty good trade for both teams, presuming that he needs Jackson because of Colston's injury--he gets help immediately instead of in 3-4 weeks, and still gets a pretty good back for the one he gave up. I've got some trade questions of my own over here: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325066
brooksville 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Pretty fair trade...Jacksons bound to lose at least a little playing time when Curtis comes back, and MJD's interior line is a mess.Does your league have return yard pts?Could make your decision tougher but your getting a stud WR so I would go for it. dpbuddha 9 Posted September 21, 2008 It's so much easier when it's not your players when it comes to trades! This one seems pretty clear to me that it's a great trade for you, thanks for helping with mine.
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Glenn- yeah I would do this in a minute! Chris Johnson seems to be the eventual back in TEN and Colston makes the Saints go. DeSean will continue to get his yards but much more upside from CJ & Colston. Thx for already answering mine.
justagrl 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I don't know about accepting Colston. Granted he is good however he will be out for up to 6 weeks and you have no clue if/when he will get back to form. IMO you don't ever assume that someone will come back from injury and be the same. Many aren't. But that's just me!
emartin 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I like the Johnson Colston side of the deal. You have the depth to wait for Colston and Johnson is looking like the real thing.
