Please Grade My Team

Recommended Posts

I'm on the fence with this team. I missed out on a couple of my sleepers and some of picks were literally picked right before me.

I picked 9th overall in a snake style draft with 5 keepers. Essentially we started in the 6th round. Standard scoring, no PPR, 10 teams, 20 roster spots.

QB:

QB: Tom Brady Keeper

BN: Phillip Rivers Round 20

RB:

RB: Ray Rice Keeper

RB: David Wilson Keeper

WR/RB: Lamar Miller Round 6

BN: Giovani Bernard Round 8

BN: Chris Ivory Round 10

BN: Michael Christine Round 14

BN: Danny Woodhead Round 17

WR:

WR: Demaryious Thomas Keeper

WR: Dwayne Bowe Round 7

WR/TE: Cecil Shorts Round 9

BN: Lance Moore Round 11

BN: Michael Floyd Round 12

BN: Emmanuel Sanders Round 15

BN: Ryan Broyles Round 16

TE:

TE: Jared Cook Round 13

BN: Brandon Pettigrew Round 18

K:

Garret Hartley Keeper

DEF:

Pittsburgh Round 19

(Lacy was taken 2 picks before I took Miller. Kenbrell Thompkins was taken 2 rounds before I was going to take him. Michael Vick and Bryce Brown were both taken with pick immediately before I was going to take them.)

(There are some intriguing options on the wire right now: EJ Manuel, Jay Cutler, Kendall Hunter, Knile Davis/Dexter McCluster, Sanu, Brandon Myers, Dwayne Allen, Patton, GB DEF, MIN DEF, Randy Bullock)

I honestly like your team. solid starters and good depth, especially with Andre Brown out for a while. The ww looks pretty thin. I would maybe swap Rivers for Cutler, but your bench players have a lot more upside than the ww offers.

Good luck and thanks for answering mine!

Is there a reason you kept Hartley for what was essentially a 5th round pick? If there's anything on your roster that bothers me, that is the one. Other than that I give you a B+. I'm not sold on Cook and Pettitgrew doesn't do anything for me either. Same goes for Miller...would like your team much more had Lacy gotten to you. Love your 4 non-kicker keepers.

In a league that allows so many keepers I would speculate that there are a few more stacked teams in this league, however if Cook comes alive this season you will sure fire starters for every roster position. I like that you took a shot at becoming younger with Bernard and Miller and I think one of them will become a solid keeper for you. It's also nice to see you lucked out on Wilson because Brown's injury should give his TD total a slight bump. I'd say right now your biggest weakness is WR, but only because I view Bowe and Shorts as big question marks.

Thanks for mine!

Thanks JackJohn:

I am depending on Broyles or Floyd to really come on here. Looking back I'm not in love with my pick of Shorts and Moore, but they were the best available on my board at the time,,,

Thanks for your help!

I too really like your team. The only thing I see on the wire is EJ Manual. And only for potential upside. You wouldn't start Rivers anywho over Brady. I'd grab Manual and see if he turns into trade bait.

@DPBudda: Yes our keepers are as follows: 1 each QB, RB, WR, K of DEF, and 1 additional of anything. In essence we are required to keep either our kicker or defense. Last year I played the match ups and ended up with IndyD.

I'm not in love with either my WR's, but I do think both Cook and Pettigrew are due to have a good years. That being said, should I drop one to pick up Brandon Myers and or Mo Sanu?

@TwoFewBrainCells: Yeah, I'm not stoked about my WR's.

I love your team man. Bernard is a great flex and he isn't even in your lineup. RB depth is incredibly important this year and you have it. I like Shorts and the Jags will always be behind, so he'll be involved in every game. The guy I think can have a big surprise year on your bench is Emmanuel Sanders. He's in a very nice position to succeed. You have a clear playoff team there.

With 10 teams and so many keepers, im sure pickings are slim. its a good team overall, i'm just not in love with the wide receivers . I would consider picking up blackmon for an IR spot if available, i've got a feeling he's gonna outdo shorts once he's back from suspension.I would also drop pettigrew for brandon myers but that's just my opinion. Pettigrew is going to be in a weaker position now with bush on that team vying for those short passes.

thanks for mine.

Looks solid to me. WR is a little than as stated, but your RB's are good (and deep) and you have trade material.

Thanks for answering mine.

Yeah, I need to make some sort of play for WR's,,,,,

Blackmon has already been drafted. The top WR's on the waiver wire are Stephen Hill, Santana Moss, Burelson, Sanu, Patton, etc,,,,, everyone else at the level or above has been drafted.
