9th Rule Discussion

Recommended Posts

Our current scoring for QB's is +4 per TD and -2 per INT. There was a suggestion to increase the values...............

Here are some options to chose from:

Option #1

Rules stays the same......+4 per TD and -2 per INT.

Option #2

+4 per TD and -1 per INT

Option #3

+5 per TD and -2 per INT

Option #4

+6 per TD and -2 per INT

Option #5

+6 per TD and -3 per INT

I would prefer 4, but I think I have a better chance at #3

I am voting for #1.

I might be open to one of the other options if we set it to go into effect in 06 or something. I prefer not to do anything that will significantly alter player values, but I may be open if teams actually had a chance to adjust their rosters accordingly rather than it just being a "bam, Peyton Manning is worth more than he was yesterday!" type of thing.

Interesting. I'll have to ponder this one over a bit.

I don't like the fact that we are heavily penalized for INT's (hell, a fumble's only -1)...

But I also don't like significantly altering player values, which this would do since many QB's throw 20 INT's/year (that's 20 points).

I'll make my official vote later.

#2, TD's are fine, but INT's are a bit much @ -2 IMO

Yeah, if I had Carson Palmer at QB I'd be looking to reduce the Int penalty as well. :(

Why did you have to go and ruin a perfectly good joke with this predictable dribble? :D
